the Masonic High Council of Peru, and on uniting
the Craft Freemasonry in Peru by bringing
together the Gran Logia Austral del Perú, the
Gran Logia del Norte del Perú, the Gran Logia
del Sur del Perú and the Gran Logia Occidental
del Perú into a new confederation of Regular
Grand Lodges.

Senior Grand Officers of the Grand Loge of the
York Rite of Paraguay, South America decided in
Grand Assembly on the 6th of March 2006 to
request a Warrant to establish in due form the
Masonic High Council of Paraguay and to be
named The Regular Grand Lodge of Paraguay
with the aims of spreading Ancient Craft
Freemasonry in its original form, aims and
intentions to all corners of the Republic of
Paraguay.

Visit of the MW Grand Master of the
Grand Orient Federal of Italy to The
Republic of Cuba

the Mother High Council of the World and
Brethren:
We are pleased to inform that the Most
Worshipful Grand Master of the regular
Masons of Italy visited the Republic of Cuba on
the 14th of April 2006 where he had the
honour to receive from the Cuban Masons the
ultimate symbol of the Cuban Republic, their
Masonic Flag, symbol of unity and symbol of
the Cuban Nation.
The MW Grand Master of Italy Bro. Pasquale
Cerofolini, received the flag from the hands of
the cuban Grand Master at the National
Headquarters of the Grand Lodge of Cuba in
Havana.
The Grand Lodge of Cuba holds 316 Lodges all
around Cuba, totalling 29.850 Brethren,
and is well respected as a Light of Morality
and Brotherhood.

En la década del cincuenta los Masones de Cuba
han construido el Gran Templo sede de la Gran
Logia de Cuba en La Habana, donde radican
hasta hoy dependencias tan importantes como
el Museo Masónico de Cuba, que atesora
diversos objetos relacionados con la historia del
país y la Biblioteca de la Gran Logia.

LA MASONERÍA CUBANA
La Gran Logia de Masones de Cuba es sin
duda una de las instituciones de mayor
prestigio Nacional en Cuba. De sus hileras han
salido lideres de la sociedad, pensadores,
filósofos, poetas y muchos ciudadanos
formados en los elevados principios y valores
que la Masonería imparte en el espíritu
fraternal y social de cada individuo.
La Gran Logia de Cuba sigue apoyando
proyectos para el desarrollo y bienestar de la
Nación. Los Masones Cubanos se cuentan
entre los afanosos y dedicados masones que
se pueden encontrar en las cuatro partes del
mundo. En su bella y hermosa Isla, ellos han
construido Logias Masónicas en cada ciudad
de la Nación.
The Cuban Flag
The star of 5 points signifies the perfection of
the Master Mason: The strength, beauty,
Wisdom, Virtue and Charity. The Flag
comprehends also in its integration the 3
symbolic numbers. The 3 blue stripes represent
perfect Harmony while the number 5 is the sum
of the blue and white stripes which signifies the
living spirit that perpetuates nature, the number
7 is obtained by adding the triangle and the
star, a number considered to be divine by the
Ancient Jewish and Greek nations.
Entre las muchas organizaciones que han
creado y apoyado, se encuentra la Asociación
de Jóvenes Esperanzas de la Fraternidad
(AJEF), con el propósito de velar por el
desarrollo moral, físico e intelectual de
los jóvenes en Cuba.
Los Masones Cubanos igualmente apoyan al
asilo de niños y ancianos La Misericordia que
existe hasta hoy con el nombre de Hogar
Nacional Masónico Llansó, además asumen
obras como el amparo a la Casa de
Beneficencia de Matanzas y del Asilo para
niños José María Casal, además han creado el
Auxilio Masónico, como una forma de ayudar a
los familiares de masones fallecidos.
Han creado otras instituciones, como las
Agrupaciones Masónicas el Zapato Escolar y el
Traje Masónico, ambas con el objetivo de
ayudar a las escuelas públicas y a las familias
de escasos recursos, la Escuela Nacional
Masónica, para niños huérfanos de padres
masones, y la Universidad Masónica José
Martí, todas como una forma de cooperar con
la causa de la educación en el país.
