BOOK FAIR!

Dear Parents,
Join us for a special celebration of reading at our school. This is a great opportunity to encourage your
children to become involved in the amazing world of reading with Scholastic Book Fair. The Book Fair will
be open daily from 8:15 am to 1:30 pm on October 12th thru October 16th 2015.
Every student will be able to visit the fair during their P.E., Art, and Music special if they bring money. We
hope you will also stop by to see the complete selection of books for every member of the family. If you
have a preference of what you would like your child to purchase, please return the bottom portion of this
form with your child when they come to the fair.
Children must make their purchases with cash (no checks). Please include enough for the 6% tax. Credit
cards will be accepted on International night only.
This fair is also an opportunity to donate books to your child’s class. Teachers have summited wish lists
for books that will enrich their classrooms’ libraries. When you visit the fair, you can find out which books
have been requested and purchase one or more to donate. Each donated book will be recognized with a
bookplate identifying your child or family as the donor.
We will also be having our first ever International Night on Thursday, October 15th 2015 from 6:00 pm to
8:00 pm. You and your family will be able to learn about the different countries and cultures that make
Dolphin Bay such a special and diverse school. We encourage our Dolphin Bay families to wear the
traditional attires of their home countries and share with us their heritage. Additional information on that
event will be coming soon. It’s going to be a great evening!

Estimados Padres:
Acompáñenos en esta celebración tan especial! La Feria del Libro de Scholastic llega a nuestra escuela.
Esta es una excelente oportunidad para motivar a nuestros niños a que exploren y disfruten el maravilloso
mundo de la lectura. La Feria del Libro estará abierta diariamente desde las 8:15 am hasta la 1:30 pm los
días 12 al 16 de Octubre del 2015.
Cada estudiante podrá visitar la Feria durante las clases especiales de P.E., Arte y Música, siempre y
cuando traigan dinero para sus compras. Esperamos verlos a ustedes también, para que aprecien nuestra
completa selección de libros. Si tiene alguna preferencia sobre los artículos que le gustaría que su hijo
comprara, por favor envíe el desprendible de la parte inferior de esta carta con el alumno cuando venga a
la Feria.
Los estudiantes deben realizar sus compras en efectivo (no se aceptan cheques). Por favor incluya dinero
suficiente para cubrir el impuesto del 6% sobre el valor total de la compra. Durante la Noche Internacional
se aceptarán tarjetas de crédito.
Esta Feria también es una buena oportunidad para que usted le done libros a la clase de su hijo (s). Los
maestros han enviado una lista de los libros que en su criterio enriquecerían las bibliotecas de sus salones
de clase. Cuando visite la Feria, podrá tener acceso a estas listas, ver cuáles son los libros que los
maestros requieren y comprar uno o más para donar. Cada libro donado será marcado con el nombre
suyo o el de su hijo, quienes serán reconocidos como los donantes.
También tendremos nuestra primera Noche Internacional el día Jueves 15 de Octubre de 6pm a 8pm.
Los invitamos a participar en este evento en el que se celebrará la diversidad de nuestra escuela.
Invitamos a todas las familias a que luzcan los trajes típicos de su país natal. Más adelante se entregará
información adicional sobre este evento. Va a ser una noche espectacular. ¡Nos vemos en la Feria!
