Dear Parents,
As the very long summer holidays draw inevitably towards an end, it is time to contemplate the
academic year 2015.
The British Schools will begin activities in March 2015 according to the following schedule:

Whilst students will enjoy all of these “asuetos”, staff will undertake INSET sessions on these
days. The British Schools is in the process of introducing a new and very different programme
of studies (PYP) in the Junior Section and, to this end, is conducting essential Professional
Development Workshops in February. Whilst further INSET days or half-days are not currently
contemplated, it may be necessary to have such sessions later in the year. In this event, Parents
will be informed with as much notice as possible.
Whilst this is the “bare bones” for this year – with much, much more to add to the calendar –
hopefully, this will allow the families of the schools to plan the school year to ensure that
students do not miss a single day of classes!
We hope that all of The British Schools families have enjoyed excellent “together time” during
the holidays and are all looking forward to the challenges of another academic year.

Mientras que los alumnos disfrutarán todas estas vacaciones, los miembros del personal estarán
en esos días realizando sesiones de INSET. The British Schools está en proceso de introducir un
nuevo programa de estudios muy diferente (PYP), y estará llevando a cabo en febrero Talleres
vitales de Desarrollo Profesional. Por el momento no están siendo contemplados días o mediodías INSET, lo que no quiere decir, que estas sesiones no sean necesarias en el correr del año.
Si este es el caso, se informará a los padres con la suficiente antelación.
Si bien este es el esquema base para este año, con muchas más actividades que agregar al
calendario, ¡es de esperar que les permita a las familias del Colegio planificar el año lectivo
asegurándose de que los alumnos no falten a clases ningún día!
Esperamos que todas las familias de The British Schools hayan disfrutado de estas vacaciones
con sus hijos y que todos estén prontos para los desafíos de otro año lectivo.
