Don Pasquale versus Winterreise
Un mes antes de desplazarse a la Ópera du Rhin-Strasbourg para realizar su debut en
Francia de la mano Robert Carsen en un importante estreno mundial, Enric MtzCastignani demuestra una vez más su versatilidad profesional. El día 22 de enero será
Malatesta en el “Don Pasquale” del Teatro Villamarta de Jerez, y días más tarde
cantara el “Winterreise Op. 89” de F. Schubert en el Teatro Principal de Palma de
Mallorca.
Junto a él en este “Don Pasquale” Jerezano estarán Rubén Amoretti, Maria Rey-Joly y
Antonio Gandía, en una producción escénica de Curro Carreres y conducida
musicalmente por el prestigioso director Gianluca Martinenghi. No es la primera vez
que Enric Mtz-Castignani interpreta esta ópera ya sea como Malatesta o como Don
Pasquale. En ambos roles ha demostrado sobradamente ser un conocedor
indiscutible del estilo bufo, repertorio en el cual se está asentando como el mejor
intérprete español de la nueva generación.
Días más tarde, exactamente el 7 de febrero interpretará en el Teatro Principal de
Palma de Mallorca el difícil y comprometido “Winterreise Op. 89” de F. Schubert,
obra que ha cantado en numerosas ocasiones en España, Francia y Japón con gran
éxito, y del cual se está preparando la reedición en CD que el artista tiene grabada.

Don Pasquale versus Winterreise
One month before moving to the Opera du Rhin-Strasbourg for his debut in France
with Robert Carsen in a very important world premiere, Enric Mtz-Castignani once
again demostrates his professional versatility. On January 22, he will be Malatesta in
"Don Pasquale" at the Teatro Villamarta in Jerez de la Frontera, and days later he
will sing "Winterreise Op 89" F. Schubert at the Teatro Principal in Palma de
Mallorca.
Rubén Amoretti, Maria Rey-Joly, Antonio Gandia, will be with Enric Mtz-Castignani in
this “Don Pasquale”, Curro Carreres signs the stage production, musically leaded by
the renowned conductor Gianluca Martinenghi. It is not the first time that MtzCastignani sings this opera as Don Pasquale either as Malatesta. In both roles he
has clearly demonstrated to be one of the best singers of the new generation in the
buffo repertoire.
Days later, exactly on February 7, he will sing at the Teatro Principal in Palma de
Mallorca the difficult and committed "Winterreise Op 89" F. Schubert, a masterpiece
that he has sung several times in Spain, France and Japan with a great success. In a
few months will be prepared the CD reissue that the artist has recorded of this
Schubert’s piece.
