Todo empezó en Curepto, Región del Maule, tenía 16
años y decidí que me dedicaría a la bicicleta a nivel
profesional. Pero no fue un camino fácil, ya que no
contaba con los recursos ni con el nivel de los
mejores.
Con mucho esfuerzo y entrenando de manera
constante logré destacar en mi pueblo natal, pero el
desafío estaba afuera, llegar a Santiago y competir
codo a codo con la categoría Elite.

Everything began in Curepto, in the Maule Region, I was
16 years old and decided I would dedicate my life to bike
riding at a professional level.
However, it was not an easy path, since I could not count
on the necessary resources or the level of the best riders.
With much effort and constant training I became
distinguished in my hometown. Yet, the challenge was in
the outside, going to Santiago and competing among the
Elite category.
Estaba determinado a hacer lo que fuera necesario
para lograr mis sueños y por ellos dejé la universidad,
mi familia y amigos. Fue así como legué a la capital,
solo, sin un logar donde vivir, sin ningún respaldo sobre
mis capacidades deportivas, totalmente perdido en
una ciudad que me parecía gigante, abrumadora y
peor aún… con poco dinero y con una bicicleta
sencilla.

I was determined to do whatever was necessary to
accomplish my dreams. Because of this I left university, my
family and friends. That is how I arrived at the capital,
alone, with no place to live, in lack of support towards my
sports abilities, completely lost in a city that seemed
gigantic, overwhelming, and even worse…with little money
and a simple bicycle.
Empezando desde abajo y sin ser conocido en la
disciplina fui obteniendo algunos logros.
Gracias a esto y mi perseverancia, Bianchi Chile
decidió darme su apoyo y confiar en mí. Fue un
impulso para seguir y buscar nuevos objetivos,
empezar a soñar en grande, representar a Chile en el
extranjero. Un nuevo esfuerzo y por suerte nueva
alegría, gracias a todos los sacrificios, actualmente soy
seleccionado nacional de MTB.

Starting from the bottom and without being known in the
discipline I began to earn some accomplishments, overall
experience and higher level.
Thanks to this and my perseverance, an important bicycle
brand decided to give me their support and trust me. It
was an impulse they followed in search of new objectives,
beginning to dream big, represent Chile abroad. A new
effort and fortunately, a new joy, is that thanks to all of
the sacrifices today I am part of the national team of
MTB.

Proyecciones 2015
Para poder cumplir con todos los objetivos
propuestos, el 2015 pretendo dedicar el 100% del
tiempo a los entrenamientos y recuperación, viviendo
únicamente del deporte y con el apoyo financiero de
los auspiciadores.
Lo idóneo es asistir a 5 o 6 fechas dentro de
Latinoamérica que den puntos UCI y participar en a lo
menos dos copas del mundo para poder quedar entre
los dos mejores chilenos.

Projections 2015
To be able to accomplish with all of the proposed
objectives, in the year 2015 I aim to dedicate 100% of
my time to training and recovery, living solely from sports
and with the financial support from sponsors.
Ideally I would assist to 5 to 6 dates through Latin
America that give UC points and to participate in at least
two world cups to be able to be among the best Chilean
MTB XCO.
Proyecciones 2016
Finalmente todo lo logrado durante los años 2014 y
2015 se verá reflejado para el 2016. La idea es poder
conseguir suficientes puntos UCI para poder asistir a
los juegos Olímpicos en Río de Janeiro.

Projections 2016
Finally, everything I have accomplished during the years
2015 will be reflected on the year 2016. The idea is to
achieve enough UCI points to be able to assist to the
Olympic games of Rio de Janeiro.
