Teaching notes
A vocabulary building exercise (vocab taken from AQA syllabus) to support listening
and reading exam skills where positive and negative opinions are to be identified.
Project onto whiteboard or give pupils their own paper copies.
The aim is to make connections with other words, this could be meaning i.e. correct or
incorrect.
It could be by word category (i.e. nouns, verbs, adjectives) and could be extended to opposites
(i.e. la verdad and la mentira).
Students might want to link mentir, mentira and mentirosa, in which case they should explain the
differences of use or meaning.
