Zwaluw® Parketfix SPS 056
Self-levelling adhesive for wooden flooring
entrapment. A general rule is to apply the wood flooring within 20 to 25
minutes of applying the adhesive under normal temperature and
humidity conditions. Zwaluw Parketfix SPS 056 is a moisture cured
adhesive and will cure faster in more humid environments. Do not let a
skin form on the adhesive prior to applying the wood flooring. Press the

Zwaluw Parketfix SPS 056 is a 1-component moisture curing trowel
applied self-leveling floor adhesive for wooden flooring.

underside is sufficiently wetted. The elements can then be joined
together using a hammer and an impact block and/or rubber mallet.
Many types of wood floors have to be tapped from the top. Leave gaps
at room perimeters and at any floor wall partition to allow wood flooring
to move naturally. Prevent any displacement and keep the connection
under pressure till the bonding is achieved. The wood floor
manufacturer’s laying instructions, as well as standard construction
rules, must be observed. Wood floor manufacturer’s requirements for
room humidity levels and environmental control along with wood
flooring acclimatization requirements must be strictly followed.

Zwaluw Parketfix SPS 056 has been developed for laying solid and
engineered wood flooring (strips, longstrips, planks, panels, boards)
mosaic parquet, industrial parquet, wood paving (residential) and
chipboard.

Zwaluw Parketfix SPS 056 is applied to the properly prepared substrate
directly from the foil and uniformly distributed by notched trowel. In case
of an uneven substrate, it may be necessary to use a notched trowel
with larger notches (avoid hollow sections or bare patches). Improper
trowel angle may prevent proper coverage. Coverage must be
monitored to ensure accuracy of application. Take care to place only
enough adhesive to allow sufficient time to place wood flooring into
adhesive while adhesive is still very wet. When applying avoid air

Surface preparation:
The subfloor must be must be structurally sound, clean, dry, level and
free from oils, bituminous materials, curing compounds, grease, dust,
loose particles, paint and other poorly adhering material. All concrete,
cement screed and gypsum based sub-floors must be structurally
sound, clean, dry, level, free of voids, projections, loose materials, oil,
grease, sealers and other surface contaminants, they should be
thoroughly cleaned with an industrial vacuum. For application over
ceramic tiles, it is necessary to grind tile surfaces, removing any glaze
and producing a matt, fine gripping surface and then clean thoroughly
with an industrial vacuum. Concrete should be water cured a minimum
28 days prior to the application of the Zwaluw Parketfix SPS 056.
Priming is not usually necessary on properly prepared, structurally
sound concrete, cement floors, chipboards, ceramic tiles, plywood and
hardwood. In case of residual moisture risk in the concrete use our
EPOXY WBC coating. For best results with the wood flooring products,
moisture testing is required by the wood flooring manufacturer.
Substrate Temperature:
During laying and until the Zwaluw Parketfix SPS 056 has fully cured,
substrate temperature should be greater than 15°C and in case of floor
heating less than 20°C. For substrate temperatures, standard
construction rules apply.

In unopened original packaging between +5°C and +25°C, shelf life till 6
months after production date, stored in a dry place.

Air Temperature:
Room temperature must be between 15°C and 35°C. For ambient
temperatures, standard construction rules apply.
Substrate Humidity:
Moisture requirements are set forth to protect wood flooring products
that can expand and contract with different moisture levels in the room.
Permissible substrate moisture content is +/- 4%.
Relative Air Humidity:
Between 40 and 70%
Limpieza
Uncured material and tools can be cleaned by using Zwaluw Cleaner.
Cured material can only be mechanically removed. Hands can be
cleaned with Zwaluw Wipes.
