What a wonderful sight it was to walk into the cafeteria at lunch today to see our St.
Mary of Carmel families having lunch together. Family day is such an important part of
Catholic schools week. It reminds us of how our faith was, is , and always will be about
the strength of our Church family. The foundation is God our Father. He sent to us
His only son, Jesus Christ to save us from our sins and give us eternal life. Mary the
Virgin Mother had faith to follow God’s call and raise his only son. The Church
continues to be the foundation for our faith as well as a guide to help us not only raise our
own families within the Church, but be a part of the parish family as well.
There is something very special about being part of a family. You feel safe, you feel
loved, you feel like you have a place. That is what we provide our students and their
families. The entire community of St. Mary of Carmel should be very proud of the
family atmosphere we foster. It is why our teachers feel such a deep desire to be a part
of this community. It is why our alumni continue to send their children to us. Thank
you for your commitment to our family. Your presence is a blessing to our children.
Tomorrow is Student Appreciation Day. All students may have a free dress day at no
charge. Friday will be Grandparent’s Day. We invite our grandparents to join us as we
celebrate the Eucharist on Friday morning. Afterward there will be donuts and coffee for
them to enjoy with the company of their grandchildren.
I want to quickly remind everyone about our Community Dinner this Saturday in the
Community Center. Service starts at 6:00 and will end at 9:00. Please remember that
this is a important fundraiser for the school to help keep tuition down. Tickets are still
available for $10 apiece.
Finally, registration for returning families in ongoing. However, new families will be
able to register starting Monday, February the 8th. Please keep in mind that many classes
are close to capacity, and we would hate for you to lose your spot.

¡Qué espectáculo maravilloso fue a entrar en la cafetería durante el almuerzo de hoy para ver
nuestras familias de Santa Maria del Carmen almorzar juntos. El Día de la Familia es una parte tan
importante de la semana de las escuelas Católicas. Nos recuerda cómo la fe ha sido, es y será
siempre sobre la fuerza de nuestra familia de la Iglesia. El fundamento es Dios, nuestro Padre. Él
envió a su Hijo único, Jesucristo, para salvarnos de nuestros pecados y darnos vida eterna. María, la
Virgen Madre tenía fe para seguir la llamada de Dios y criar a su único hijo. La Iglesia sigue siendo
el fundamento de nuestra fe, así como una guía que nos ayude no sólo aumentar nuestras propias
familias dentro de la Iglesia, pero ser parte de la familia de la parroquia también.
Hay algo muy especial en ser parte de una familia. Uno se siente seguro, se siente amado, se siente
como que tiene un lugar. Eso es lo que ofrecemos a nuestros estudiantes y sus familias. Toda la
comunidad de Santa María del Carmen deben estar muy orgullosos de la atmósfera familiar que
promovemos. Es por eso que nuestros profesores se sienten como un profundo deseo de ser parte de
esta comunidad. Es por eso que nuestros egresados continúan enviando a sus hijos a
nosotros. Gracias por su compromiso con nuestra familia. Su presencia es una bendición para
nuestros hijos.
Mañana es el Día de Agradecimiento de Estudiantes. Todos los estudiantes pueden tener un día libre
de vestir sin costo. El viernes será el Día de los Abuelos. Invitamos a nuestros abuelos a unirse a
nosotros para celebrar la Eucaristía en la mañana del viernes. Después habrá donuts y café para que
puedan disfrutar con la compañía de sus nietos.
Quiero recorder a todos de manera rapida acera de nuestra Cena de la Comunidad de este sabado en
el Centro Comunitario. El servicio se inicia a las 6:00 y terminara a las 9:00. Por favor, recuerde
que este es un recaudador de fondos importante para la escuela para ayudar a fmantener la matricula
hacia abajo. Los boletos estan disponibles por $10
cada uno.
Por último, sigue la inscripción para esas familias que intentan a regresar. Sin embargo, las nuevas
familias podrán inscribirse a partir del lunes 8 de febrero. Por favor, tenga en cuenta que muchas
clases son cerca de su capacidad, y no queremos que usted pierda el lugar de su hijo.
