Tras varios meses de instalación, el Waterfalls Mall,
primer centro comercial de Kuwait iluminado íntegramente con LEDs, inaugura su espectacular y compleja iluminación RGB diseñada por el equipo MCI.
After several months of installation the Waterfalls
Mall; Kuwait’s premier full LED lighted shopping centre, finishes the highly complex RGB outdoor and indoor installation.
Los elementos arquitectónicos a destacar son sin
duda la fachada y la catarata espectacular que da
nombre al Waterfalls Mall. Los mismos elementos
cambian de color gracias a los bañadores de pared
diseñados especialmente para este proyecto respetando las circunstancias ambientales de Kuwait.
The main architectural highlight in the shopping
centre is the waterfall, part of the impressive colour
changing façade where the MCI team has developed
special custom made wall washers adapted to the
site conditions.
La torre central está iluminada con LedFloodStrip®
RGB hecho a medida iluminando los balcones y subrayando elementos arquitectónicos del edificio.
Las áreas de exteriores incluyen, entre otras, 356 luminarias empotradas en el suelo modelo Glow que
sirven como luz guía para marcar del recorrido del
camino hasta el interior del mall.
The tower is lit with LedFloodStrip® RGB “custom
made” shining the balconies and highlighting architectural elements on the building.
Landscape areas and interiors include over 356 embedded floorlights type Glow which at the same time
works as a guiding light from the outdoor areas to
inside.
La catarata central incluye más de 100 metros de Wall
Washer diseñado a medida los cuales cambian de color proporcionando diferentes ambientes y cambios
espectaculares en la imagen del Centro Comercial.
The Waterfall and its side elements include over 100
meters of custom made wall washers which will create different moods and allow changing continuously
the exterior appearance of the spectacular glass pavilion.
Los pasamanos que dominan las áreas interiores en
los 3 niveles de la zona Shopping cambian de color
gracias a los 1.500 LedFloodStrip® RGB que fueron diseñados y adaptados para el pasamanos.
All interior handrails, in total over 1,500 units, are
connected to the RGB control system as well as the
elevator lights which show the level the elevator is at
each moment.
La unidad de control incluye un PC con software
Mundosoft el cual dirige las unidades de entrada
DMX. Diez convertidores de fibra óptica trasmiten
los datos a las áreas según localidad, cada uno controlado por un driver IP independiente. El rack esta
constantemente ventilado y sellado contra el polvo
y la humedad.
The control system is a complete technical room including PC with Mundosoft software; 10 fibre optic
cables converters to transmit the data to the different
areas, each controlled with an independent IP driver.
The Rack is constantly cooled and sealed against dust
and humidity.
En el interior del pabellón se encuentran una serie de
lagos artificiales los cuales están repletos de hilos de
fibra óptica con terminales de iluminación puntual
enfocando un sinfín de bolas de cristal depositadas
dentro del agua.
El Waterfall Mall abrirá pronto sus puertas al público y
sin duda será una de las principales atracciones de la
nueva arquitectura de Kuwait.
Gracias al excelente trabajo que el equipo ha realizado, otras empresas Kuwaitíes están presentando proyectos en Kuwait para ser desarrollados con LEDs de
mano de la experiencia del GRUPO MCI.
Inside the pavilion a substantial number of artificial
lakes are filled with Fibre optics strings providing an
impression in the water when highlighting the glass
balls laying in the water.
The Waterfalls Mall will open its door to the public
soon and for sure be one of the main attractions of
the new Kuwait architecture.
Due to this fantastic job several other constructions in the city of Kuwait have approached the LED
LIGHTING “know how” of MCI which by the time is
becoming one of the main LED lighting references in
the Middle East.
