The City has undertaken efforts to improve the efficiency of
street sweeping services. One effort involves a pilot study to
insure that the streets are being swept during the time when the
least number of vehicles are parked on residential streets. We
are proposing to sweep the street in the pilot program during
designated daytime hours.

Starting August 23, 2010, your street will be swept on the second and fourth Monday of every month.

The east and south sides of the streets (dwellings with even
numbered addresses) will be swept between the hours of
8:00 am and 10:00 am.

The west and north side of the streets (dwellings with odd
numbered house addresses) will be swept between the hours
of 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.
Temporary signs will be posted during the testing of the new
street sweeping route.
Overnight parking restrictions will still be in effect. Residents
wanting to temporarily park their vehicles on the street between
the hours of 2 am to 6 am MUST purchase an overnight parking
exemption.
The pilot program will be tested for a period of nine months to
determine the effectiveness of daytime street sweeping in the
pilot area. After the test period an assessment will be
undertaken, with resident input to determine if daytime sweeping
should be considered on a permanent basis.
