COMUNICADO DE PRENSA DE CUBA Y NORUEGA
Los representantes de los gobiernos de Cuba y Noruega, Garantes de la Mesa de
Conversaciones, informan que a las 11:40 horas de hoy, el 30 de noviembre de 2014, el
General Rubén Darío Alzate, el Cabo Jorge Rodríguez y la abogada Gloria Urrego, tras ser
liberados por las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia-Ejército del Pueblo (FARCEP), fueron formalmente entregados por los Garantes de Cuba y Noruega y delegados del
Comité Internacional de la Cruz Roja (CICR), a los representantes del Gobierno de Colombia.
Las tres personas recibieron un examen médico del CIRC y se encuentran en buenas
condiciones físicas.
Con estas liberaciones, se cumple satisfactoriamente con lo acordado previamente por las
partes, según fue anunciado por los representantes de los países Garantes el pasado 19 de
noviembre, en La Habana.
La posición constructiva asumida por el Gobierno de Colombia y las FARC-EP permitió el
cumplimiento exitoso de lo acordado.
El Gobierno de Colombia y las FARC-EP, agradecieron a los gobiernos de Cuba y Noruega y al
CICR por su valiosa contribución.
Los gobiernos de Cuba y Noruega reiteran su apoyo a los diálogos de paz y a los esfuerzos
para poner fin al conflicto armado en Colombia.

Representatives of the Governments of Cuba and Norway, guarantor countries in the peace
negotiations, announce that at11:40 today, 30 November 2014, General Rubén Darío Alzate,
Corporal Jorge Rodríguez and the lawyer Gloria Urrego were released by the Fuerzas Armadas
Revolucionarias de Colombia – Ejército del Pueblo (FARC-EP) and formally handed over by the
two guarantor countries Cuba and Norway and delegates from the International Committee
of the Red Cross (ICRC) to representatives of the Government of Colombia.
All three were given medical examinations by the ICRC, and they are all in good physical
condition.
With the release of these three, the agreement between the parties that was announced by
the representatives of the two guarantor countries last week has been satisfactorily fulfilled.
The Government of Colombia and the FARC-EP express their gratitude to the Governments of
Cuba and Norway and the ICRC for their valuable contributions.
The Governments of Cuba and Norway reiterate their support for the peace negotiations and
for the efforts to end the armed conflict in Colombia.
