Más de 700 investigadores de todo el Mundo se reúnen en Barcelona con
motivo de la 4ª edición del Summer Forum organizado por la Barcelona
Graduate School of Economics.
Del 6 al 21 de junio más de 700 economistas de más de 30 paises distintos debatirán
sobre el presente y el futuro de la investigación puntera en economía.
La 4ª edición del Summer Forum organizado por la Barcelona Graduate School of
Economics, ya es un referente internacional para los investigadores en economía de todo el
Mundo, i es el único de sus características en Europa.
Durante dos semanas, es darán 26 conferencias relacionadas con la macroeconomía, la
economía aplicada i la economía financiera para presentar la investigación más relevante y
puntera en sus áreas.
El Summer Forum cuenta como participantes los investigadores de las cuatro unidades de
investigación que conforman la Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (UPF, UAB, CREI,
IAE-CSIC), y también investigadores líderes en sus campos de Universidades de renombre
internacional como Yale, University of Minnesota, Columbia, Bocconi, Paris School of
Economics, Harvard, MIT, London School of Economics, i muchas otras. El Forum también
atrae economistas de diversos bancos centrales europeos como España, Italia, Alemania e
Inglaterra así como el Banco Central Europeo y organizaciones internacionales como la
Federal Reserve Board i el Fondo Monetario Internacional.
La investigación será presentada por, entre otros, Laura Veldkamp (NYU Stern School of
Business), George Borjas (Harvard), Richard Blundell (University College London), Giancarlo
Corsetti (University of Cambridge and CEPR), Robert Moffitt (Johns Jopkins University),
Abhijit Banerjee (MIT), Thomas Holmes (University of Minnesota), Martin Schneider

Més de 700 investigadors d’arreu del Mon es troben a Barcelona per la 4ª edició
del Summer Forum organitzat per la Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.
Del 6 al 21 de juny més de 700 economistes de més de 30 països diferents debatran
sobre el present i el futur de la investigació puntera en economía.
La 4ª edició del Summer Forum organitzat per la Barcelona Graduate School of Economics,
ja es un referent internacional pels investigadors en economia d’arreu del mon, i es l’únic de
les seves característiques a Europa.
Durant dues setmanes, es faran 26 conferències relacionades amb la macroeconomia, la
economia aplicada i la economia financera per presentar la recerca més rellevant i puntera
en cadascuna de les seves àrees.
El Summer Forum té com a participants els investigadors de les quatre unitats de recerca
que conformen la Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (UPF, UAB, CREI, IAE-CSIC), i
també investigadors líders en els seus camps de Universitats de renom internacional com
Yale, University of Minnesota, Columbia, Bocconi, Paris School of Economics, Harvard, MIT,
London School of Economics, i moltes altres. El Forum també atrau economistes de diversos
bancs centrals europeus com Espanya, Itàlia, Alemanya i Anglaterra així com el Banc Central
Europeu i organitzacions internacionals com la Federal Reserve Board i el Fons Monetari

More than 700 researchers from around the World meet in Barcelona during the
4th Edition of the Summer Forum organized by the Barcelona Graduate School
of Economics.
From June 6th to June 21st, over 700 economists from more than 30 different
countries will debate the present and the future of frontier economic research.
The 4th edition of the Summer Forum, organized by the Barcelona Graduate School of
Economics, is already an established international reference for economic researchers
around the world, and it is the only one of its kind organized in Europe.
During two weeks, 26 Workshops related to macroeconomics, applied economics and
financial economics will take place to present the most relevant and cutting-edge research
papers in each field.
Participants of the Summer Forum will include the researchers of the four research units that
make up the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (UPF, UAB, CREI, IAE-CSIC), as well
as leading researchers in economics from worldwide renowned universities such as Yale, the
University of Minnesota, Columbia, Bocconi, the Paris School of Economics, Harvard, MIT,
the London School of Economics, and many others. The Forum also attracts economists from
several central banks in Europe from countries such as Spain, Italy, Germany, and England,
as well as the European Central Bank and foreign organizations like the Federal Reserve
Board of Governors, and the IMF.
