 Fifteen schools have been shortlisted from among those who
submitted applications to participate in the “School of the Year”
competition.

 The contest is organized by the Spanish Ministry of Education,
Culture & Sport and is sponsored by Banco Santander
Shareholders, the Instituto Cervantes, the Comillas Trust and the
Spanish publishing companies, Anaya, Santillana and SM.
Washington, DC, 16th February 2012

Fifteen schools have been shortlisted from among those who submitted
an application to take part in the “School of the Year” competition. The
schools represent three education levels Elementary, Middle and High
School (see Appendix).

Seven winners will be selected only after representatives of the
Education Office visit the schools shortlisted and a report is issued. The
results will be published during April 2012. The award ceremony will
take place at the Embassy of Spain in Washington D.C. in May 2012.
