Yo, Un Estudiante Internacional Por: Eli Long La Escuela Media de Gilkey es una escuela muy inclusiva y abierta para todos. La cosa más grande que la hace asi, es el programa de lenguas que ofrecemos aquí. Pienso que este programa hace que todos son invitados; de todas razas, países, y lenguajes. También es una buena manera para que todos puedan aprender otro lenguaje sí solo saben Inglés. Científicos han encontrado que personas que son bilingües tienen más éxito en sus vidas, pienso que es asi porque pueden viajar por todo el mundo y saber esos lenguajes y comunicarse con estas excelentes personas de otros países. El programa de lenguas que tenemos aquí también conecta la cultura de estas lenguajes y las clases. Saber no solo la lengua de un país o países pero también saber la cultura puede hacer que hagas mucho en tu vida. Pienso que no es suficiente sólo saber una lengua, porque si solo sabes la lengua, no sabes porque este país habla esta lengua, ¿qué? religion está conectada con ésta lengua, y ¿qué? cosas especiales hacen en el país donde hablan la lengua. Entonces pienso que el programa es estupendo, porque enseña la lengua y la cultura, que son esenciales, si quieres ser una persona bilingüe y tener éxito en tu vida. La lengua Española es alrededor del tercer lengua más popular en el mundo, pienso que es la razón por la que mis padres me apuntaron en el programa de inmersión en Ainsworth. Yo ya sabía como hablar Ingles; la segunda más popular lengua, y ahora estoy aprendiendo Chino, que es la lengua más popular del mundo, y una lengua de comercio. Estoy aprendiendo las lenguas que probablemente necesitaré en mi vida más tarde. Otra razón es porque ellos quieren que cuando esté más viejo, pueda viajar alrededor del mundo y hablar con todos. Esta lengua tiene coneccion con muchas otras lenguas en el mundo, especialmente con Italiano y Francés, y si yo sé cómo hablar Español, puedo aprender otros idiomas muy fácilmente. Esta lengua me ha ayudado a no solo ser una persona conscientemente internacional, pero también ser un estudiante físicamente internacional. Pienso que esto es porque el idioma Español es la lengua que tiene la más cultura conectado con lo, porque hay muchísimos países que hablan, y todos tienen una historia diferente. Español ha tenido un impacto grandísimo en mi vida, especialmente porque ahora no estoy el unico quien sabe hablar lo. Yo puedo asegurarte que casi todos los días, hay por lo menos una frase en Español en mi casa. Entonces el idioma tiene un rol muy importante en mi vida. Pienso que aquí en Gilkey los cinco idiomas que ofrecemos son muy buenos porque son de todo el mundo, excepto una parte… el Este Medio. Tenemos Español de Europa y Sur America, Alemán de Europa, Francés de Europa, y Chino de Asia, pero no tenemos ninguna lengua del Este Medio. Entonces sí podría añadir un lenguaje a Gilkey, sería Árabe, porque es un idioma de alrededor de este sitio, en el Este Media. Pero este es solo un razón porque quiero este lengua. También es una lengua muy diferente de todas las otras en Gilkey, entonces es una buena experiencia. Otra razón es que en otras escuelas públicas se ofrece Árabe. Pienso que esto dice que es una buena lengua para aprender. Para mi, ser un estudiante internacional es ser alguien bilingüe, pero también que sabe la cultura del país de la lengua. Pienso que es muy bueno ser un estudiante internacional, especialmente para tu vida cuando estás más viejo. También, si eres un estudiante internacional puedes conseguir un buen trabajo también. En conclusión, yo pienso que si estudias otro lenguaje, va a impactar tu vida más tarde, pero en un muy buen manera. Puedes viajar a muchísimos países y hablar con muchas impresionantes personas, y más importante, puedes tener parte en unas culturas que para mi, son simplementes extraordinarias. Como ya dije, puedes tener un trabajo bueno en tu vida, y con un trabajo bueno hay éxito. Entonces pienso que todos necesitan éxito en tu futuro, una excelente manera para tenerlo, es conociendo otra lengua, especialmente una lengua como el Español. Eli Long Me, an International Student Gilkey Middle School is a very inclusive school that is open to everybody. The biggest thing that makes it this way is our language program that we offer here. I think this program makes it so that everybody is invited; from every race, country, and culture. Also it is a good way to learn another language if you only know how to speak English. Scientists have found that bilingual people have more success in their lives, and I think it is because they can travel the world and be able to communicate with all these amazing people from different countries. Our language program also connects the culture of these languages in the classes. If you know not only the language of that country, but also the culture, then you will be able to do more in life. I think that it is not enough to only know the language, because if that is all you know, then you don't know why the countries speak it, the religion that it is connected to, and what special rituals they do in those countries. So overall, I think that Gilkey’s program is a stupendous way to teach both the language as well as the culture of the countries that they are from, which are essential to know if you wish to become someone bilingual and successful in your life. The Spanish language is around the third most popular language in the world, and I think that is one of the reasons my parents enrolled me in the immersion program at Ainsworth Elementary School. I already know how to speak English, which is the second most popular language, and I'm now learning Chinese, which is the most popular language on earth and a language of commerce. So I am on my way to knowing the three languages that I will probably need most in my future life. I think that another reason that my parents had me start learning Spanish was so that, when I'm older, I can travel the world and speak with everybody, as I was talking about in the paragraph above. This language has many connections with other popular languages around the world, especially Italian and French, offer any language from the Middle East. So if I could add any language to our program, it would be Arabic, because it is a language that is spoken around that area, in the Middle East. But that is only one reason for why I wish to include this language. It is also a very different language from the ones we have at Gilkey, making it a good experience. My last reason is that other public schools offer Arabic. I think this means that it is a good language to learn. For me, being an international student is being someone bilingual, but also someone who knows the culture of the language. I think that an international student is a very good thing to be, especially in the long run. Also, if you are an international student, you have a better chance of getting into a good college, and after that, you can have a better job as well. In conclusion, I think that if you study another language, it will impact your life later on, but in a good way. You will be able to travel to distant countries, and speak with many impressing people, and even more importantly, you can be a part of some cultures that for me, are simply extraordinary. In this whole paper, I have continued to talk about how great your future will be if you are a bilingual and international student. And it is true; like I have already said, you can gain an excellent job later in your life, and with a good job comes success. So overall, I think that everyone should find success in their lives, and a great way to have success, is to learn another language, especially a language like Spanish.and so since I know how to speak Spanish, I could probably learn those languages very easily. This language has helped me to not only be a international student consciously, but also one physically. I think this is because Spanish is the language with the most culture connected to it, because of all the different countries who speak it, who all have a different history. Spanish has had an enormous impact in my life, especially because now I'm not the only one in my family who knows how to speak the language. I can assure you that everyday in my house, there is at least one phrase of Spanish spoken. So it has a very important role in my life. I think that the five languages that we offer here in Gilkey are very good because they are from all over the world, except for one part… the Middle East. We have Spanish from Europe, South America, and North America, German from Europe, French from Europe, North America, and some parts of Africa, and Chinese from Asia. But we do not
