GL1 for the Armed Forces

Purpose:
GL1 for the Armed Forces: when the recipient is part of the Armed Forces of any country of the
EU or EEA, is a contracting authority in the field of defence or procures material for the exclusive
use of the Armed Forces of an EEA country.

Purpose:
GL2 for certified undertakings: when the recipient is an undertaking certified by the authorities
in any of the countries of the European Union or the EEA, in accordance with the procedure laid
down in Article 9 of Directive 2009/43/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6
May 2009 and Article 28(7) of this Regulation.
