Comenzó su carrera a mediados de los años ochenta haciendo una serie de cortos experimentales en súper 8 y coeditando un fanzine llamado J.D.s el cual engendró el movimiento queercore. Por el estilo de sus películas, es reconocido como uno de los expositores del movimiento new queer cinema. Bruce LaBruce is a Toronto-based filmmaker, writer, director, photographer and artist. He began his career in the mid-eighties, developing a series of short experimental super 8 films and co-editing a punk fanzine called J.D.s, which began the queercore movement. He is considered one of the major figures of the new queer cinema movement.
