Corner
Dear Wyatt friends and families,
Here are some changes:
One week into our new school year and already we are
seeing a great many changes! I wanted to spend a few
moments of your time talking about some of the things your
children are experiencing here at Wyatt this year.
First, you’ve noticed that we have many new faces in the
building! We really pushed ourselves to upgrade our hiring
process to really find the very best teachers for our scholars;
the hiring process is much more rigorous this year and
Wyatt is benefiting from having very high quality teachers
in our building. We have also changed our administrative
structure so that Wyatt admin team is in classrooms every
single day, giving feedback and coaching to teachers
throughout the year.
Your children are now enjoying new curriculum! In the
past, we were spending a great deal of time and resources
inventing our own materials to teach to students. We now
have invested in lessons that are nationally recognized as
being rigorous and balanced. This allows our teachers to
really focus on the individual needs of students and also
helps to ensure that scholars are learning all they need to.
Naturally, there are many more improvements that we have
made this year, including using better testing to understand
where scholars academics needs are, updating our daily
schedules to meet the needs of students, and thinking hard
about interventions we are implementing. I really hope to
get to talk to you about these topics and many more
throughout the year!

Estimados amigos y familias de Wyatt,
Aquí están algunos cambios:

En tan solo una semana en nuestro nuevo año escolar y ya estamos
viendo un gran número de cambios! Quería pasar unos momentos de su
tiempo hablando de algunas de las cosas que sus hijos están
experimentando aquí en Wyatt este año.

En primer lugar, se ha dado cuenta de que tenemos muchas caras nuevas
en el edificio! Realmente nos hemos empujado a nosotros mismos para
mejorar nuestro proceso de contratación para encontrar realmente los
mejores maestros para nuestros alumnos; el proceso de contratación es
mucho más riguroso este año y Wyatt se beneficia de tener maestros de
muy alta calidad en nuestro edificio. También hemos cambiado nuestra
estructura administrativa para que el equipo de administración de Wyatt
tenga la oportunidad de estar en las aulas todos los días, dar
retroalimentación y entrenamiento para maestros durante todo el año.

Sus hijos están disfrutando de nuevos manera de aprendizaje! En el
pasado, estábamos gastando una gran cantidad de tiempo y recursos en
inventar nuestras propias maneras y materiales para enseñar a los
estudiantes. Ahora hemos invertido en clases que son reconocidas a nivel
nacional por ser riguroso y equilibrado. Esto permite a nuestros maestros
que se centren realmente en las necesidades individuales de los
estudiantes y también ayuda a asegurar que los alumnos esten
aprendiendo todo lo que necesitan.
Naturalmente, hay muchas más mejoras que hemos hecho este año,
incluyendo el uso de pruebas para entender mejor donde las necesidades
de los alumnos académicos son, actualizando nuestros horarios diarios
para satisfacer las necesidades de los estudiantes, y pensando mucho
acerca de las intervenciones que estamos implementando. Realmente
espero llegar a hablar con usted acerca de estos temas y muchos más en
todo el año!
