LMS WELCOMES NEW TEACHERS!!
Miss Smith: Physical Education
Ms. Smith is the new Health and Physical
Education teacher at LMS. Ms. Smith is a graduate
of East Stroudsburg University where she played
both field hockey and softball. She is very excited
about the 2015-2016 school year because it is her
first year as a teacher!
Ms. Smith knew she wanted to be a teacher ever
since she was a little girl. Her great grandma, who
was a math teacher for many years, inspired her.
Ms. Smith can remember sitting at the dining room
table with an afternoon snack listening to her
grandmother tell her stories about her day at
school. Her grandmother impacted the lives of
many young children, which inspired Ms. Smith to
follow in her footsteps to accomplish the same goal.
In her spare time Ms. Smith enjoys many different
activities. She likes playing sports, running, reading
and listening to music when she gets home from
work. Another one of her favorite pastimes is
playing with her new puppy named Tank. Ms. Smith
also helps coach field hockey and softball for the
Lebanon School District.
Ms. Smith hopes that this school year runs
smoothly and that the students learn to how to be
active through the units taught in her gymnasium.
She will have the pleasure of teaching EVERY girl
in the middle school and has faith that everyone will
be successful! Remember, an active body helps
create a healthy mind!

Srta. Smith: Educación Física
La Srta. Smith es la nueva maestra de Salud y
Educación Física en LMS. La Srta. Smith se graduó
de la Universidad de East Stroudsburg donde jugó
tanto el hockey sobre césped como softbol. ¡Ella
está muy emocionada por el año escolar
2015-2016, ya que es su primer año como maestra!
La Srta. Smith supo que quería ser maestra
desde que era una niña. Su bisabuela, que era
maestra de matemáticas durante muchos años, la
inspiró. La Srta. Smith recuerda sentarse en la
mesa del comedor con una merienda, escuchando
a su abuela contar sus historias sobre su día en la
escuela. Su abuela impactó las vidas de muchos
niños pequeños, lo que inspiró a la Srta. Smith a
seguir sus pasos para lograr el mismo objetivo.
En su tiempo libre la Srta. Smith disfruta de
muchas actividades diferentes. Le gusta jugar
deportes, correr, leer y escuchar música cuando
llega a casa del trabajo. Otro de sus pasatiempos
favoritos es jugar con su nuevo perrito llamado
Tank. La Srta. Smith también sirve como
entrenadora de hockey sobre césped y softbol para
el Distrito Escolar de Lebanon.
La Srta. Smith espera que este año la escuela
funcione sin problemas y que los estudiantes
aprendan a cómo ser activos a través de las
unidades que se enseñan en su gimnasio. ¡Ella
tendrá el placer de enseñar a TODAS las niñas de
la escuela intermedia y tiene fe en que todo el
mundo tendrá éxito! ¡Recuerde que un cuerpo
activo ayuda a crear una mente sana!
LMS WELCOMES NEW TEACHERS!
Mr. Bleyer: 8th Grade Social Studies
Mr. Bleyer was a building substitute here at LMS
last year. He mostly covered in the SAFE room.
Other than that, this is his first year as a “real”
teacher; at least that’s what his students would say!
He attended Millersville University in Lancaster. Mr.
Bleyer became a teacher so that he could impact
lives. He believes that teachers are given the
chance to help students and guide them to become
successful young adults; which to him isn’t work, it
is a privilege. He loves his job and enjoys coming
to work everyday and seeing all of the students and
other teachers!
Even though he is not a teacher, Mr. Bleyer’s
father is his inspiration. He taught him to work hard
and earn everything that he has!
In Mr. Bleyer’s spare time he enjoys music,
playing sports, hiking, and watching sports (GO
STEELERS)! An interesting fact about Mr. Bleyer is
that he has two turtles. Their names are Curtis and
Chris. If Mr. Bleyer could describe himself in one
word it would be positive. He says that even though
he is not positive all of the time, he still tries to be.
To him, being negative is pointless…smile!
Although Mr. Bleyer stated, “I hope to become half
as good as some of the great teachers at LMS,” he
said that his main goal is, “I hope to solidify the
number one spot for best hair at LMS.” Good luck
with that goal Mr. Bleyer!

Sr. Bleyer: 8vo Grado Estudios Sociales
El Sr. Bleyer era un sustituto aquí en LMS el año
pasado. La mayor parte del tiempo cubría el salón
SAFE. Aparte de eso, este es su primer año como
maestro “de verdad"; ¡al menos eso es lo que sus
estudiantes decían! Él asistió a la Universidad
Millersville en Lancaster. El Sr. Bleyer se convirtió en
maestro para que pudiera impactar vidas. Él piensa que
a los maestros se les da la oportunidad de ayudar a los
estudiantes y guiarlos para convertirse en jóvenes
adultos exitosos; que para él no es un trabajo, es un
privilegio. ¡Le encanta su trabajo y le gusta venir a
trabajar todos los días y ver a todos los estudiantes y
otros maestros!
A pesar de que no es maestro, el padre del Sr. Bleyer
es su inspiración. ¡Él le enseñó a trabajar duro y ganar
todo lo que tiene!
En el tiempo libre del Sr. Bleyer él disfruta de la
música, jugar deportes, ir de caminatas, y mirar
deportes (GO STEELERS)! Un hecho interesante sobre
el Sr. Bleyer es que tiene dos tortugas. Sus nombres
son Curtis y Chris. Si el Sr. Bleyer pudiera describirse a
sí mismo con una palabra, sería positivo. Él dice que a
pesar de que no es positivo todo el tiempo, todavía trata
de serlo. Para él, ser negativo no tiene sentido ...
¡sonríe!
Aunque el Sr. Bleyer declaró: "Espero llegar a ser la
mitad de bueno como algunos de los grandes maestros
en LMS", dijo que su principal objetivo es, “Espero
alcanzar el puesto número uno para el mejor cabello en
LMS.” ¡Buena suerte con ese objetivo Sr. Bleyer!
