Sister Estela Aguilar, Holy Family Sister, died while at the General Chapter in Belgium. We just received news that Sister Estela Aguilar, from our Sister Community in Guatemala, died from a stroke in Belgium while attending the General Chapter of the Holy Family Sisters of Helmet. Her cremains will be brought back to Guatemala. Estela Aguilar, the eldest of eight brothers and sisters, was 60 years old. Her sister, Sister Rosario Aguilar, is presently teaching at the Formation Center for young indigenous women in Chiantla, Huehuetenango. Estela has been teacher and principal at several Holy Family Schools in Guatemala. Recently Estela was assigned to the Formation Team at Casa Nazareth, where she and Sister Albina Gaspar lived with several Postulants and Novices. I first met Estelita at Zona 10 in 1996. She was always very friendly and encouraging. The little girls loved her and she was always encouraging them to be the best they could be. Mary Peter Bruce SL
