Niños y padres: Buenos alimentos para los niños Kids and Parents: Good Food for Children We’re having Summer Meals! The Bakersfield City School District is pleased to announce our Summer Feeding Program which will begin June 13, 2011. Thanks to a federally funded program, summer meals will be served free to all children 18 years of age and under at the times and places listed below. Enrollment in summer school is not required. Meals are not restricted to persons living in the area of the serving site; children from all areas and school districts are welcome. Federal regulations state that food served to participating children cannot be given to or shared with anyone. Proof of age may be required. However, persons 19 years of age or older may purchase a meal at a nominal cost.
