2. Laurie
( ) Mrs. March wants to go to look after Mr. March but she
doesn’t have enough money, so Mr. Laurence affords the trip, Jo
also contributes by cutting her hair, which she sells for some money.
Mrs. March leaves and the sisters take care of each other; one day
Beth goes to visit the Hummel’s and the baby was really sick; days
later Beth starts feeling bad and she is diagnosed with scarlet fever.
3. The telegram
( ) Beth is getting worse, so Laurie and his grandfather send a
telegram to Mrs. March, who rapidly comes back and fortunately
Beth starts getting better. Jo is worried because Mr. Brooke, Laurie’s
tutor is interested in Meg, and she thinks he will take her away from
home, so she tells her mother; to her surprise, her mother knows
everything and she agrees with the idea.
4. Difficult times
( ) Laurie, lives next to the March family, he is a rich but lonely
boy. One day he meets Jo and Meg in a party, and since then he
starts a friendship with Jo.
5. Meg’s glove
( ) The March family is celebrating Christmas with a delicious
breakfast, however when they know about the Hummel’s, a poor
family of immigrants, they decided to give them their food as a
present.
6. Love letters
( ) The March sisters are having a very good relationship with
Laurie and his grandfather. Mr. Laurence enjoys very much having
Beth in his house Mr. March, who is in the war, becomes really ill.
7. Aunt March’s visit
( ) Mr. Brooke visits Meg because he wants to marry her, Meg
doesn’t want to accept she is in love with him too, but finally she
does and accepts to marry him at the age of twenty.
Aunt March dislikes the idea of Meg marrying a poor man so she
refuses to give her money from her will.
