TOUR 3 (DIAS VIERNES)
COYOTEPEC-JALIETZA-OCOTLAN
San Bartolo Coyotepec se sitúa a 13 Km. de la ciudad, su principal
atractivo es la alfarería de barro negro que elaboran los artesanos
del lugar.
Santo Tomas Jalietza se localiza a 25 km. de la ciudad, típico lugar
donde se elaboran bordados y tejidos en telar de cintura.
Ocotlán de Morelos se localiza a 30 km. de la ciudad, cada
Viernes se lleva a cabo el día de tianguis, en esta población se
encuentran hortalizas, frutas, artesanías en barro, cestería, jarcería,
cuchillería, talabartería, sombreros, un atractivo especial es el
templo Exconvento dominico del S. XVI, actualmente restaurado
pro la autoridad municipal y el apoyo del pinto Rodolfo Morales, la
casa de este artista funciona como Museo Talle exhibiéndose obras
del mismo.

TULE-TEOTITLÁN DEL VALLE-FABRICA DE MEZCAL-MITLA

MONTE ALBAN-ARRAZOLA-CUILAPAM-ZAACHILA
Este Tour comienza con una visita al pueblo de Santa María
el Tule, donde podrán conocer uno de los árboles más famosos del
mundo.
Continuando con nuestro Tour visitaremos un taller
Zapoteca donde elaboran extraordinarios tapetes de lana pura y
colores naturales: Teotitlán del Valle localizado a 32 km. de la
ciudad.
Continuaremos a Mitla para conocer una de las zonas
arqueológicas más importantes y originales de todo México.
Admiraremos su palacio, sus tumbas, la decoración de grecas y
mosaicos perfectamente trabajados, fuera de la zona se encuentra
un mercado de artesanías.
De regreso se visita un Rancho en el que se elabora el
Mezcal, donde usted probará diferentes sabores de esta bebida
tales como: Manzana, café zarzamora, etc. Así como también
disfrutará de la exquisita gastronomía Oaxaqueña.
Monte Alban es la Zona Arqueológica más importante de
Mesoamérica, se localiza 10 km. de la ciudad. Es una plaza
rectangular donde se sitúan palacios, templos, adoratorios, juego
de pelota y tumbas, además cuenta con un museo de sitio, librería
y una cafetería.
Arrázola; A 10 km. De Oaxaca, se observan las hermosas
piezas de alebrijes, que representan el espíritu innovador e irreal
de la alma Oaxaqueña mediante la formación de figuras obtenidas
después de una tallado y pintado manual.
Cuilapam de Guerrero, se sitúa a 12 km. del a ciudad, es un
bello conjunto arquitectónico compuesto de un templo, un
Exconvento y una monumental capilla abierta, de ascendencia
gótica y estilo edificado por los dominicos, mismo lugar donde
estuvo prisionero y fusilado el Gral. Vicente Guerrero.
Zaachila; se sitúa a 15 km. de la ciudad esta población fue la
última capital del Imperio Zapoteca. En esta población se lleva a
cabo el tianguis los días Jueves.

COYOTEPEC-JALIETZA-OCOTLÁN
San Bartolo Coyotepec is located 13 km from Oaxaca City;
the town’s principal tourist attractions are black clay handicrafts,
which are made by craftsmen of this area.
Santo Tomas Jalietza is situated 25 km from the city; it is the
typical place for embroideries and back strap weaving.
In Ocotlán de Morelos, a small town located 30 km from
Oaxaca City, there every Friday a traveling market is set up, in
which vegetables, fruits, clay
handicrafts, basket weaving, cutlery, things made with “jarceía”,
cuir and leather goods can be purchased. A special attraction of this
site is the Dominican church and ex-convent, which was built in the
XVI century. This construction has recently been restored with the
support of the municipal authority and painter, Rodolfo Morales,
whose house is used as the Museum Shop, which displays his
paintings.

TOUR I (EVERY MONDAY)
TULE-TEOTITLÁN DEL VALLE- FACTORY OF MEZCAL - MITLA
This tour begins with a visit to the town of Santa María el Tule,
where you can see one of the most famous trees in the world.
Continuing with the tour you will visit a Zapotecan shop where
extraordinary pure wool, naturally dyed colored rugs are made (a
demonstration is included), then you’ll visit Teotitlan del Valle,
another picturesque town located only 32 km from the city.
Later continue on to Mitla, where you will see one of the
most important and original archeological zones in Mexico. We will
admire its palaces, tombs, ornamental design and tiles perfectly
elaborated by the craftsmen. Also located in this area on the tour is
a crafts market
Returning from Mitla, there will be a visit to a Mezcal
making Ranch, where you will be able to taste the distinct flavors of
this liquor, such as: apple, coffee, blueberry, etc. Here, you will also
be able to enjoy exquisite Oaxacan cuisine.

TOUR II (EVERY THURSDAY)
MONTE ALBAN-ARRAZOLA-CUILAPAM-ZAACHILA
Monte Alban is the most important archeological zone in
Mesoamerica, it is located 10 km from the city. It is a rectangular
plaza consisting of palaces, temples, areas used for worship, courts
for playing football, and tombs. Additionally, visitors may count on
a museum site, a bookstore and a cafeteria.
Arrazola, is located 10 km from Oaxaca. Observe the
beautiful handicraft “alebrige” pieces, which represent the
innovative spirit and unreal Oaxacan soul through the formation of
carved, painted figures.
Cuilapam de Guerrero, situated 12 km from Oaxaca City.
This township has a beautiful archeological arrangement, consisting
of a temple, an ex-convent, and a monumental open chapel. This
open structure’s heritage descends from gothic origin and a
Dominican construction style, and is the same place where General
Vincent Guerrero was held prisoner and murdered.
Zaachila, positioned 15 km from the city. This site was the
last capital of the Zapotecan Empire. Also, every Wednesday
experience the indigenous market that takes place in this town.
