BEAR NEWS:
eLEARNING DAYS in BCSC
The BCSC calendar has 5 built in snow days. On the 6th snow day, BCSC will institute eLearning days,
rather than adding days to the end of the school year.
Please fill out the E-Learning survey that has been attached the last two weeks and return to
Taylorsville Elementary school. We need to have this information in order to prepare for an
Elearning day! Thanks!
Attached, you will find the One to One Technology Use Agreement. Please read and sign
stating you understand the policies for bringing Chromebooks home if there should be an
Elearning day. Please return to Taylorsville Elementary School.
Due to our 2 snow days, we will now have school on Thursday March 24th and Friday March
25th.

BOX TOPS
We wanted to let you know that our PTO will be running a contest in January/February, so we encourage
you to save your box tops! We will share more details after the holidays, but we wanted you to know to be
saving them for now!
JUST A REMINDER FROM MRS. DOLAN’S ART CLASS
Art to Remember is back! An artwork from first semester will be submitted by next week, and a
personalized order form will be coming to you in the next couple of weeks. I hope we have less problems
than last year, but PLEASE email me at [email protected] with any questions so we can make sure
you have the chance to order what you'd like! If your student began classes at Taylorsville after December,
it is likely they won't have artwork for this. We hope to catch those students next year for this wonderful
fundraiser! Also, art club will remain in session on 2 hour delay days. Thank you for all participants!

SCHOOLWIDE LEARNING OUTCOMES (SWLO)
Our SWLO focus this week was:
I am an Expert Learner because I am Goal-Directed and Strategic
I can choose the best tool(s) to navigate and interact with the learning experience.
Some ways that teachers help to recruit student interest are:
* Provide assistive technologies such as voice activated switches or alternative keyboards
* Provide alternatives in the requirements for rate, timing, speed, and range of motor action
required
* Provide alternatives for physically responding or indicating selections
This week’s SWLO is again for all students in Grades K-6. We encourage you to ask your child about the
different products students choose to demonstrate their learning!

Continue instilling a growth mindset in your child. Only after effort, hard work, and failing does success follow!

NOTICIAS OSO:
DIAS de eAPRENDER en BCSC
El calendario de la BCSC incluye 5 días de nieve. En el sexto día, BCSC implementara el día de eAprender,
en lugar de añadir días de clases al final del año escolar.
Favor llenar la encuesta anexa sobre eAprendizaje que le hemos anexado en las pasadas dos
semanas y devuélvala a la Escuela Primaria Taylorsville. Necesitamos esta información
para prepararnos para un día de eAprendizaje

Anexo encontrara el Acuerdo de Uso Uno a Uno de Tecnología. Por favor léanlo y fírmenlo
para indicar su aceptación de las políticas que regirán cuando lleven los Chromebooks a

¡Vuelve Arte para Recordar! Un trabajo de arte se enviara la proxima semana y una planilla de
pedidos le llegara en un par de semanas. ¡Espero que haya menos problemas que el año pasado,
pero si tienen preguntas, por favor, escríbanme al [email protected] para asegurar que
ordenamos lo que usted desea! Si su estudiante empezó clases en Taylorsville después de
Diciembre, es muy probable que to tenga un trabajo para esto. ¡Esperamos tener sus trabajos para
el próximo año! Además, el club de arte mantendrá sus reuniones los días con 2 horas de demora.

Nuestro foco SWLO esta semana fue:
“Soy un Aprendiz Experto porque soy estratégico y me enfoco en la Meta”.
Puedo escoger las mejores herramientas para navegar e interactuar con la experiencia de
aprendizaje
Como los maestros pueden ayudar a despertar el interés de los estudiantes:
* Proveer ayudas tecnológica tales como interruptores activados por voz o teclados alternos
* Proveer requisitos alternos para velocidad, tiempo, y rango de movimiento requerido
* Proveer alternativas para respuestas físicas o indicación de selecciones
Nuevamente el SWLO de esta semana es para los estudiantes de en Grados 1-6. Le pedimos que pregunte
a su niño las diferentes formas que utiliza para demostrar se aprendizaje

Continúe inculcando una mentalidad de crecimiento en su niño(a). Aquí esta una imagen de como realmente es
