Welcome Back Falcons for the 2016-2017 school year,
I hope that everyone had a wonderful and relaxing summer.
So last year when I wrote the welcome letter I was brand new as the PTA President though I had
already spent two years on the board…I had grand plans and a vision. This year I am writing as a
woman who experienced greatness and is energized in my remaining term with the momentum
that continues to drive Fletcher Elementary to a district standard. Whether you are a new Falcon
family or a returning family, the year ahead will be a rewarding experience for your child and family.
A commitment toward working with, understanding, and nurturing each and every child are some
of the many reasons why Fletcher Elementary is such a wonderful place for children to learn and
grow.
As we enter another fantastic year at Fletcher, we have an outstanding Fall Enrichment Program
planned, fun-filled educational assemblies, great community-building events, more afterschool
enrichment, a new student council, grade specific activities and fun family nights that we would
like to share with you first hand at our monthly PTA meetings. We would like to encourage you to
come to our PTA meetings, which are held on the second Monday of the month. We are planning
speakers with great topics that will be helpful and of interest to Fletcher parents, guardians,
teachers and staff and we will also continue hosting Coffee & Conversations on the 1st Friday
of the month. The first PTA meeting is September 12th at 6:30pm.
On Friday, August 26th the PTA will host a Back to School Falcons on the green “Movie Night”
from 7:30 - 9:30pm. We hope you can all join us in kicking off our 2016-2017 school year. It will
be a great night of fun for the family with a movie, and food will be available for purchase. It is a
great way to catch up with friends, find out more about the PTA and meet some new families.
Please contact me anytime about PTA events and activities. I am here to assist you in any way
that I can. I hold this opportunity in high regard and I look forward to meeting and working with

Halcones Bienvenidos de nuevo para el año escolar 2016-2017,
Espero que todos hayan tenido un verano maravilloso y relajante.
El año pasado cuando escribí esta carta de bienvenida era nueva Presidente de la PTA. Yo tenía
grandes planes y una visión. Este año estoy escribiendo como una mujer que experimentó
grandeza y energía continúa impulsando nuestra primaria Fletcher a un estándar del distrito. Si
usted es una nueva familia o una familia que regresa, este próximo año será una experiencia
gratificante para su hijo(a) y familia. El compromiso de trabajar arduamente en la comprensión, y
el cuidado de cada uno de los niños, son algunas de las muchas razones por la cual la escuela
Fletcher es un lugar maravilloso para que los niños aprendan y crezcan.
A medida que entramos en otro año fantástico en Fletcher, tenemos un programa de otoño de
enriquecimiento excepcional previsto, montajes llenos de diversión educativos, grandes eventos
de formación de la comunidad, más enriquecimiento después de la escuela, un nuevo comité
consejo de estudiantes, actividades específicas de grado y noches de diversión familiar que nos
gustaría compartir con ustedes de primera mano en las reuniones mensuales de la PTA. Nos
gustaría animarlos a venir a nuestras reuniones de la PTA, que se celebran el segundo lunes del
mes. Estamos planeando grandes temas que serán útiles y de interés para los padres de Fletcher,
tutores, maestros y personal y también vamos a seguir participando en Café y Conversación el
primer viernes del mes. La primera junta del mes será el lunes 12 de septiembre a las 6:30
de la tarde.
El día viernes, 26 de agosto, el PTA tendrá en la noche de regreso a la escuela Halcones en el
pasto verde para una “Noche de Película” de 7:30 - 9:30pm. Esperamos que todos puedan
unirse a nosotros en dando inicio a nuestro año escolar 2016-2017. Será una gran noche de
diversión para la familia con una película, y la comida estará disponible para su compra. Es una
gran manera de ponerse al día con amigos, obtener más información sobre la PTA y conocer
algunas familias nueva.
Por favor, póngase en contacto conmigo en cualquier momento sobre los eventos y actividades
de la PTA. Estoy aquí para ayudarle en todo lo que pueda. Tengo esta oportunidad en alta estima
y tengo ganas de conocer y ¡trabajar con cada uno de ustedes! En nombre de toda la Junta
Ejecutiva 2016-2017 bienvenida. Vamos a tener un especial Café y Conversación el 1er día de
escuela en el salón de multi usos, ¡acompáñenos!
