PETITION in SUPPORT of TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE
PETICION a FAVOR del MATRIMONIO TRADICIONAL
We Pro-Family, Pro-Freedom individuals will not sit idly by as the government attempts to change the definition of marriage. As concerned citizens,
we believe the definition of “marriage” to be the union of one man to one woman.
There is no institution more important to our community and to our state than the American family. In our families, the seeds of personal character
are planted and through love, instruction, discipline, guidance and example, we learn from our mothers and fathers the values that will shape our
lives. We are convinced that the majority of Americans share our values of Faith and Family. We believe it is time to stand up for traditional
marriage. We are standing up for the family and against same-sex marriage.
Accordingly, we are outraged that the Illinois government is currently active in proceeding with the attempt to legalize same-sex marriage. We are
asking you to vote NO if, and when it comes up to the floor.
Nosotros, individuos Pro-Familia, Pro-Libertad, no quedaremos callados mientras el gobierno intenta cambiar la definición del matrimonio. Como
ciudadanos interesados, creemos que la definición de “matrimonio” es la unión de un hombre a una mujer.
No hay institución más importante para nuestra comunidad y para nuestro estado que la familia. En nuestras familias, las semillas de carácter
personal se plantan y a través del amor, la instrucción, la disciplina, la orientación y el ejemplo, aprendemos de nuestros padres y madres los
valores que dan forma a nuestras vidas. Estamos convencidos de que la mayoría de los estadounidenses comparten nuestros valores de fe y familia.
Creemos que es el momento de defender el matrimonio tradicional. Estamos de pie para la familia y en contra el matrimonio del mismo sexo.
En consecuencia, estamos indignados de que el gobierno de Illinois está actualmente activo en continuar con el intento de legalizar el matrimonio del
mismo sexo. Estamos pidiendo que vote NO, si y cuando llegue el voto hasta el suelo de la cámara.
