Enrollment Timeline for 2011-2012
January 4 -31
Open Enrollment #1:
Grade K-6 Students who live within the Peabody Attendance Area
will receive the Enrollment Request and return it with evidence of
two proofs of residence by 3:00 PM on January 31, 2011. The
names will be put into Public Lottery #1, by grade, to be held on
February 8, 9:00 AM. Siblings in the attendance area have priority
enrollment.
February 1 - March 25
Open Enrollment #2. All of the K-6 students
who live in the Peabody Attendance Area
and who wish to enroll will be added to a
list for Public Lottery #2, to be held on April
7, 9:00 AM.
April 4 - May 27
Open Enrollment #3. All of the K-6 students
who live in the Peabody Attendance Area
and wish to enroll will be added to a list for
Public Lottery #3 to be conducted on June
2, 9:00 AM.
INTER AND INTRA DISTRICT TRANSFER REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED
ONLY JUNE 13-30.
PUBLIC LOTTERY #4 WILL BE HELD ON August 4,9:00 AM.

1. What are the school hours?

2. When does school start? School starts August 24, 20 1 1. There will be a Back to
School Meet and Greet on Monday, August 22,at 4:00 PM.
3. What aboutAfter SchoolCare?
•
Kindergarten- We do not offer After School Care for kindergarten students. Families
may contact Santa Barbara School District's Child Development Program at 965-
4633.
•
Grades 1-6- After School Care for Gr.
1-6 is called PANTHER PROGRAM and is
offered Monday-Friday until 5:30 PM. The cost is $90 per student per month and is
available on days when school is in session. (Other After School Care programs such
as Girls, Inc. and Boys and Girls Club offer pick-up from Peabody.)
4. Are there other forms we need to complete? There will be a summer mailing which
will include important information and other forms such as the Free and Reduced
Meals Application.
5. When are campus tours for newly enrolled students? You may sign up for a group
tour on March 1 at 8:45 AM or March 2 at 8:45 AM.
6. When is the KindergartenOrientation Program? The Kindergarten Orientation
takes place on Thursday, March 12,4:30 PM. The school's Spring Open House called
"Academic Showcase" starts right after that at 5:30 PM, and you are welcome to
attend.
7. What about kindergarten home visits? Your child's teacher will contact you in July
or early August to set up a home visit to meet the family and bring school supplies.

Kindergarten- No ofrecemos Guarderia Despues de las Clases para alumnos de
kindergarten. Las familias se pueden poner en contacto con el Programa de Desarrollo
Infantil de los Distritos Escolares de Santa Barbara: 965-4633.

Grados 1-6- La Guarderia Despues de las Clases para los grados
1-6 se llama
PANTHER PROGRAM Y se ofrece de lunes a viemes hasta las 5:30 PM. El costa es
de $90 al mes por alumno y esta disponible los dias escolares. (Otros programas de
Guarderia Despues de la Escuela como Girls, Inc. y Boys and Girls Club ofrecen
recoger a los alumnos en Peabody.)

2.
Record of Immunizations (Original signed by physician) - The list of required immunizations is
included in the Enrollment Packet.
3.
Physical Exam Report (Signed by physician) If exam is given within eighteen (18) months
before entering grade 1, it will be current. The physical exam should be during or after March
201l.
4.
Two Proofs of Residency which must include the following:

One of the following:

Current property tax statement or Grant Deed with County Recorder's stamp
