Ready for take off with In2sai?
The Erasmus project IN2SAI (Oct 2013 - Sep 2015) intends to increase the participation of
female students in higher education studies in scientific fields (especially those relevant for
aeronautics) and to contribute to their integration into the Aeronautic Industry (AI).
Thereby the project addresses the following groups and sectors:
Education System:
– Female Students
– Professors / Researchers
Labor market / Aeronautics Industry:
– Human Resource Managers
– Career Counselors
– Organizations operating in AI
General Community:
– Basic to secondary schools (students and teachers)
– Families and parents
Objectives
– To enhance a close collaboration among academia and industry
– To describe the existing situation of female participation
in scientific studies and the aeronautic industry
– To identify the reasons and possible causes for the low
female interest in scientific studies and participation in AI
– To increase the interest of female students/young women
in scientific studies and AI careers
– To support academia promoting gender balance in their scientific
courses and motivating female students to pursue careers in AI
Outcomes and activities
1) Analysis of current situation
Desk research and online survey in each partner country in order to describe the current
situation of female participation in scientific studies and the aeronautic industry (AI).
2) Bridging Women, Science & Industry
Organization of technological clinics, mentoring field trips and analysis of specific
educational programmes in order to increase the interest of young women for
scientific courses and careers in the AI.
3) Community Outreach
Identification of case studies and organization of open days in order to raise awareness
of the community to the opportunities for female participation in scientific studies and
the AI.
All outcomes and activities are accompanied by a set of promotion material and
will be introduced to a broad public audience at the final conference in Brussels
in the autumn of 2015.

El proyecto Erasmus IN2SAI (Oct 2013 - Sep 2015) pretende aumentar la participación femenina de estudiantes en estudios superiores en campos científicos (especialmente aquéllos
relevantes para la aeronáutica) y contribuir a su integración en la Industria Aeronáutica (IA).
De esta manera, el proyecto se dirige a los siguientes grupos y sectores:
Sistema educativo:
– Alumnas
– Profesores / Investigadores
Mercado laboral / Industria Aeronáutica:
– Directores de Recursos Humanos
– Asesores de empleo
– Organizaciones que intervengan en la IA
Sociedad:
– Fundamentalmente centros de educación secundaria
(estudiantes y profesores)
– Familias y padres
Objetivos
– Mejorar la colaboración entre la enseñanza y la industria
– Describir la situación existente de la participación femenina
en estudios científicos e industria aeronáutica.
– Identificar las razones y causas de que el interés femenino
en estudios científicos e IA sea bajo.
– Aumentar el interés de alumnas/ mujeres jóvenes en carreras
relacionadas con los estudios científicos y carreras relacionadas con la IA.
– Respaldar a la enseñanza a la hora de promover balance de género en sus
cursos científicos y motivas a las alumnas para dedicarse a carreras
relacionadas con la IA.
Resultados y actividades
1) Análisis de la situación actual
Análisis de estudios existentes y cuestionarios online en el país de cada socio para
describir la situación actual de participación femenina en estudios científicos y en la
industria aeronáutica (IA).
2) Atracción de las mujeres a la Ciencia y a la Industria
Organización de “technological clinics”, visitas tuteladas y análisis de específicos
programas educacionales para aumentar el interés de las mujeres jóvenes hacia los
cursos científicos y carreras en la IA.
3) Alcance social
Identificación de casos de estudio y organización de días de puertas abiertas para hacer
llegar a la sociedad conocimiento de las salidas laborales para mujeres en estudios
científicos e IA. Todos los resultados y actividades estarán acompañados por material
publicitario y serán mostrados a una amplia audiencia pública en la conferencia final en
Bruselas en otoño de 2015.
