Your famous figure must be someone of Hispanic origins who is dead. In addition, this cannot be a person who you have done for a Real World Assignment!!! This project has three components: 1. El texto: a. Find a media text (newspaper, website, etc.) about your person in Spanish. This text must have a minimum of 10 preterit verbs. The more detailed the better. b. Print this text out c. Highlight all the preterit verbs you find in the text and translate them to English in the margins (be sure they are preterit and not different tenses i.e. present, etc.) 2. El cartel de biografía: a. Using the information from the text you are going to create a poster (8x11.5 inch paper) about your person. b. Your poster must have: i. A picture of your historical figure ii. A paragraph in which you describe in 3rd person preterit the person’s life and legacy (who they were, what they did, where they lived, when they died, why they were important, etc.) 1. This paragraph must be written in your own words (PROHIBITED RESOURCES/TRANSLATORS WILL RECEIVE 0 POINTS) 2. It must be at least 12 sentences in length. 3.
