Release of the Gender Summary of the Education for All (EFA)
Global Monitoring Report (GMR) 2013/14 March 2014
Media in all regions of the world published stories on the Gender Summary of the EFA GMR released at
a special event in New York on 10 March, 2014. The event was hosted in collaboration with the United
Nations Girls Education Initiative (UNGEI).
The press release on this report did especially well in Latin America, including Brazil, as well as in Spain,
Portugal and Hungary. However stories were also published in Greece, Italy, in several Arab countries
and a few regional news outlets in the United States.
