Paws for Love Classroom Adoption Program Your class can help homeless animals by collecting pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters or even dollars to help take care of dogs and cats that need a home. Animal Samaritans SPCA is a no-kill shelter. Cats and dogs remain at our shelter until a loving home is found for them. We need your help to take care of them. Last year 55 classrooms participated in Paws for Love and raised over $1,000 for shelter animals!! Each class that participates in the Paws for Love program will receive a picture of their “adopted” pet. We would appreciate it if you could set up a collection container. Charity and the act of giving is a great way to instill in your students the sense of responsibility and respect towards homeless animals. When they put even a penny in the collection container, they look at the picture of their “adopted” pet and know that they are making a real difference. When Animal Samaritans receives the money your class has collected, we will send you a thank you letter from our shelter director and a virtual shelter tour sheet. Children may visit their “adopted” pet anytime the shelter is open. If your cat or dog is lucky and gets adopted by a loving family, the money you send or bring in will go towards helping another needy animal. On the back of this sheet is a letter to the parents for you to copy. Please help both kids and animals by participating in this enriching program! Dear Parents: We recently had Animal Samaritans SPCA visit our class with their Humane Education Program. The class has decided to participate in the “Paws for Love” program. They will be collecting pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters for one of the shelter animals. We have a picture of the adopted cat in our classroom. This fundraiser is optional. We will be collecting money for the remainder of the year and sending it to Animal Samaritans. Thank you for your participation. Sinceramente, Profesor(a)
