News and Notes
Welcome Back to everyone! We are very excited to have our students back and are eager to continue the education
process. Meeting our goals in Reading, Writing, Math, and Science will be a major priority for our 3rd—5th grade
students as they prepare for the “STAAR” exams. The goal for our younger students will be to READ at or above grade
level. Reading is the foundation for success and we must make sure every student is successful. In addition, our entire
campus will focus on strengthening our English skills and transitioning to all English classes in order to be better
prepared for middle school, high school, and college. Therefore every class in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade has already
transitioned to all English. We realize that there will be many challenges ahead, but together we can succeed. We look
forward to not only educating your children, but also in becoming partners with you and the community to provide our
children with the best opportunities possible to succeed.
Keeping Our Students Safe
Early Pick Up from School
Early Dismissal Dates
Safety above all else. In order to
keep our students safe, we are asking
parents to please make sure you add
the names of all adults that may pick
up your children on their enrollment
cards. Every student should have
received a 1st day packet by now
and this was part of the information
that must be returned. If you are not
sure or forgot, simply stop by our
office and update your child’s card
or request another card. We know
this is tedious, but it is very difficult
to release your child to someone we
do not know. If you add their names
to the enrollment card we can then
release your child to them as long as
they have proper ID.
We understand that there will be some times
that a parent may have to pick up their child
early from school for a doctors appointment,
dentist appointment, etc. Although we do not
encourage any parent to use a child’s
instructional time for personal business, we do
certainly understand it and will do our best to
work with the parent as long as it does not end
up interfering with their academics. We ask
all parents wishing to pick up their child early
to notify us in advance if possible and to
refrain from getting them after 2:45 pm.
Unless it is an extreme emergency, our front
office staff will not sign out students after
2:45 pm. This is done as a precautionary
safety measure to help us ensure that all of our
students are safe and dismissed in an
organized manner. We thank you in advance
for working with us and adhering to our safety
procedure.
This school year we will have 5
early dismissal days. Students
are dismissed at 12:45 on these
days. Please plan ahead to
make sure your child(ren) have
a way home.
Student Attendance
Being in school EVERYDAY and being on time is mandatory. It is not only school
policy, but it is also state law. Please make sure your child is here each day and on
time. Students in grades 2nd—5th should be here no later than 7:35. a.m. Students
can arrive as early as 7:00 a.m.
Students in grades PK—1st need to be here between 7:00 and 7:35 each day so they
can eat breakfast in the cafeteria. Breakfast for PK—1st is served between 7:00 and
7:35 a.m. Please make sure they are on time if they wish to have breakfast. If they
arrive after 7:35 they will miss the breakfast time.
Attendance and On Time Incentives
In order to reward students for attendance and being on time we will have
many opportunities for students to win prizes for just being responsible and
coming to school each day and on time. Thank you parents for your support
and teaching our children the importance and value of coming to school each
day.

parking lot gate. This is safety
concern and not allowed.
Anyone visiting campus should

directly to the front office.

Notas y Noticias
Bienvenidos de nuevo! Estamos muy emocionados de tener a nuestros estudiantes de regreso y deseamos continuar con el proceso
educativo. Cumplir nuestros objetivos en lectura, escritura, matemáticas y ciencias será una prioridad para nuestros estudiantes de
3ero a 5to grado, ya que se preparan para los exámenes de STAAR La meta para nuestros estudiantes de PK-2ndo será leer al o por
encima del nivel de grado. La lectura es la base para éxito y hay que asegurarse de que cada estudiante sea exitoso/a. Además, toda
la escuela se centrará en el fortalecimiento de nuestros conocimientos de la segunda lengua y la transición a clases de inglés con el
fin de estar mejor preparados para la escuela secundaria, preparatoria, y la universidad. Por este motivo, todas las clases de 3º, 4º y
5º grado ya hicieron la transición al Inglés. Somos conscientes de que habrán muchos desafíos por delante, pero juntos podemos
tener éxito. Esperamos que no sólo eduquen a sus hijos, sino que también se conviertan en nuestros socios para poder proporcionar a
nuestros niños con las mejores oportunidades para tener éxito.
La Seguridad Estudiantil
Recogida Temprana
La seguridad esta por encima de todo.
Con el fin de proteger a nuestros estudiantes, estamos pidiendo a los padres
que se aseguren de agregar los nombres
de todos los adultos que pueden recoger
a sus hijos en sus tarjetas de inscripción.
Cada estudiante debe haber recibido un
paquete el 1er día de clases y esa información estaba incluida. Si no está seguro/a o se le olvidó agregar los números,
sólo tiene que pasar por nuestra oficina
y actualizar la tarjeta de su hijo/a o pedir
otra carta. Sabemos que esto es tedioso,
pero es muy difícil dejar ir a su hijo/a
con alguien que no conocemos. Si añade
los nombres adecuados a la tarjeta de
inscripción entonces podemos dejar ir al
estudiante con ellos, siempre y cuando
tengan la identificación apropiada.
Entendemos que habrán situaciones cuando un
padre tendrá que recoger a sus hijos temprano de la
escuela para una cita con el médico o cita con el
dentista. Aunque no recomendamos que hagan
citas durante las horas de instrucción, entendemos
y haremos todo lo posible para trabajar con
ustedes, siempre y cuando no termine interfiriendo
con el desarrollo educativo de nuestros estudiantes.
Pedimos a todos los padres que deseen recoger a
sus hijos temprano que se notifiquen en la oficina
con anticipación y que se abstengan de recoger a
los niños después de las 2:45 p.m. A menos que
sea una emergencia extrema, nuestro personal de
la oficina no va a firmar a los estudiantes después
de las 2:45 p.m. Esto se hace como medida de
precaución de seguridad para ayudar a mantener a
todos nuestros estudiantes seguros y que sean
despedidos de una manera organizada.
Agradecemos de antemano su colaboración con
nosotros y les pedimos que se adhieran a nuestros
procedimientos de seguridad.

de salida temprana . Los estudiantes
saldrán a las 12:45 en estos días Planee con anticipación para asegurarse
de que sus hijos sean recogidos a tiempo.

Asistencia Escolar
Firmar en la Oficina
Estar en la escuela cada día y llegar a tiempo es obligatorio. No sólo es la política de la
escuela , pero también es la ley del estado. Por favor asegúrese de que su hijo/a este aquí
todos los días y a tiempo. Los estudiantes en los grados 2do- 5to deben estar en la escuela a
mas tardar las 7:35 a.m.. Los estudiantes pueden llegar desde las 7:00 a.m.
Los estudiantes en los grados PK - 1ro necesitan estar aquí entre las 7:00-7:35 cada día para
que puedan tomar su desayuno en la cafetería. El desayuno para PK - 1ra se sirve de 7:007:35 a.m. Por favor asegúrese de que estén a tiempo si se desea tomar el desayuno. Si llegan
después de 7:35 no podrán recibir desayuno.
Se les pide a todos los padres y
visitantes que firmen en la oficina
cada vez que visitan nuestra
escuela. Esto se hace para ayudar a
garantizar la seguridad de nuestros
estudiantes. También estamos
pidiendo a todos que se abstengan
de entrar por la puerta del
estacionamiento ya que es un
problemas de seguridad y no es
permitido. Cualquier persona que
visite la escuela debe entrar por el
frente e inmediatamente ir a la la
oficina principal.
Incentivos de Asistencia
Con el fin de premiar a los estudiantes por la asistencia y llegar a tiempo vamos a tener
muchas oportunidades para que los niños ganen premios sólo por ser responsable y venir a la
escuela todos los días y a tiempo. Gracias a los padres por su apoyo y enseñarle a sus hijos la
importancia y el valor de venir a la escuela todos los días.
