París, fuente inagotable de inspiración por su arquitectura, su arte,
por el espíritu de la calle y el allure de sus mujeres,… Todo ello
forma parte del imaginario de Isabel de Pedro desde siempre. La
colección de invierno del 2012 se centra en el París de una chica,
de una película mítica, de una época descaradamente rompedora:
Jean Seberg en “A bout the souffle” (1959), film de Jean Luc Godard
y quintaesencia de la modernidad francesa y de la Nouvelle Vague.
50 años después, Isabel de Pedro recupera muchos de los hits de
la época: pantalón pitillo con chaquetas acampanadas, cardigans
con faldas evasés, vestidos de coctel hiperfemeninos, blusas
masculinas, abrigos de paño, trenchs… Los colores son como un
paseo por la ciudad: negros, grises, crudos, beiges, verdes otoñales,
tejas... Los estampados de topos, las rayas y los jacquares de flores
combinan con puntos lisos que recuperan prendas de sastrería
clásica rabiosamente actuales. Las imágenes de la Torre Eiffel,
Notre Damme o el café Vivienne se apoderan de las camisetas;
las puntillas (reales y estampadas) de los vestidos; y el nostálgico
humo de un cigarrillo, de las blusas.
“A bout de souffle” es el pretexto para revivir el encanto de una
ciudad que no dejará nunca de enamorarnos.

Paris, inexhaustible source of inspiration for its architecture, art, the spirit
of the street and the allure of its women ... all that, has forever been part
of the imagination of Isabel de Pedro. The winter 2012 collection focuses
on the Paris of a girl, a legendary film of an audacious ground-breaking
time: Jean Seberg in “A bout the souffle” (1959), a film by Jean Luc Godard
and the ultimate of the French modernism and the Nouvelle Vague.
50 years later, Isabel de Pedro recovers many of the hits of the era: skinny
pants with swing jackets, cardigans with flared skirts, hyper-feminine
cocktail dresses, male blouses, duffel coats, trenches ... The colors are like
a walk in the city: black, gray, ecru, beige, autumn greens, russet ... The
polka-dot, stripes and floral jacquards prints combined with plain fabrics
that recover the classical tailoring clothes that are so much into fashion
now days. The images of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Damme or the Vivienne
cafe take over the T- Shirts, the laces (real and printed) of the dresses, and
the nostalgic smoke of a cigarette in the blouses.
“A bout de souffle” is an excuse to revive the charm of a city that we will
never stop falling in love with.
