Setup:

Align the two maze board halves as
shown, and slide them together until
they “click” and are secure.
Attach the two side support “braces.”
Fit the base onto the bottom of the maze board, aligning it
with the two tabs until it “clicks” into place and fits snugly on
the bottom.
Turn over the full maze board so that it rests on the base.
Notes for Use:

• Play with the maze base resting on a table or flat surface.
• Play individually or cooperatively with 1–4 players.
• Younger players may need help re-creating the maze suggestions on the cards.
• The objective of each card is to guide a ball, or balls, from one goal to the
other, after correctly building a maze.

What is STEM?
STEM is an acronym referring to the study of science, technology, engineering,
and mathematics. Here are some great ways to incorporate STEM lessons while
playing with Create-A-Maze:
SCIENCE – Observe the way the ball travels around the maze pieces—this is a
real-life application of physics. Change the path of the ball by tilting the maze
board or moving some of the pieces.

TECHNOLOGY – With a digital camera or phone, take a picture of your own crazy
maze creations. Share and compare them with your friends!
ENGINEERING – Re-create the maze paths on the activity cards, and try to solve
the challenges in many different ways.
MATH – With a stopwatch, track the time that it takes a ball to travel from one
goal to another. Try to add or subtract from the time by adding or removing
maze pieces.
