Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States. Roughly 1/3 of residents want statehood, 1/3 want independence, and 1/3
want to leave things as they are.
In México D.F., the D.F. stands for distrito federal (federal district).
The official capital of Bolivia, according to the 2009 constitution, is Sucre, where the judicial branch is located. However,
the executive and legislative branches are located in La Paz, which is considered the seat of government.
Only someone or something from España should be called “Spanish”. Until you know the nationality, use “Latino” or
“Hispanic”. TV, movies, or music in Spanish is “Spanish-language television/movie/music”.
The countries to the south of the U.S. are known as “Latin America”, La América Latina, or Latinoamérica.
