Appeal for the 7th European Biennial of
Landscape Architecture entitled “ Biennial
Versus Biennial” that will take place on the
27th, 28th y 29th September in Barcelona.
The Biennial is organized by the Institute of
Architects of Catalonia and the Polytechnic
University of Catalonia (Architecture
University and Master in Landscape
Architecture).
Se convoca la 7a Bienal Europea de
Paisaje, que se celebrará los próximos días
27, 28 y 29 de septiembre, en Barcelona
bajo el lema: “Bienal Versus Bienal”. Los
organizadores de la Bienal son el Colegio
de Arquitectos de Cataluña (COAC) y
la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña
(Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura y
Máster en Arquitectura del Paisaje).
Es convoca la 7a Biennal Europea de
Paisatge, pels propers dies 27, 28 i 29
de setembre, a Barcelona sota el lema:
“Biennal Versus Biennal”. La Biennal està
organitzada pel Col•legi d’Arquitectes de
Catalunya (COAC) i la Universitat Politècnica
de Catalunya (Escola Tècnica Superior
d’Arquitectura i Màster d’Arquitectura de
Paisatge).

Presentation of the Rosa Barba European Landscape Prize
finalists.
The international Jury, convened by the Executive Committee of
the Biennial, has selected the finalist for the Rosa Barba European
Landscape Prize from among the 350 projects presented.
A selection of all the presented projects, works built in Europe
between 2007 and 2011, will be available for viewing at the permanent exhibition on the ground floor of the COAC and will also
be included in the catalogue of the 7th European Biennial of Landscape.

Jornada de presentación de las obras seleccionadas como
finalistas al Premio Europeo de Paisaje Rosa Barba
El Jurado Internacional, convocado por la Comisión Ejecutiva de
la Bienal, ha determinado los finalistas al Premio Europeo de Paisaje Rosa Barba que serán los ponentes de la jornada y posteriormente decidirá, el/la ganador/a.
De entre los 350 proyectos presentados, una selección formará
parte de la exposición habitual d’obra construida en Europa entre
el 2007 y el 2011 a la planta baja del COAC y del catálogo de la 7a
Bienal Europea de Paisaje.

El Jurat Internacional, convocat per la Comissió Executiva de la
Biennal, ha determinat els finalistes al Premi Europeu de Paisatge
Rosa Barba que seran els ponents de la jornada i posteriorment

Due to our circumstances most territorial and cultural disciplines
are ranging from anxiety and emergence. Thus, the VII Biennial
of Landscape Barcelona claims to be both a catalyst for doubt and
a driver to illusions and changes in the field of Landscape Architecture.
Consequently, the biennial will review formats, formulas, concepts and professional practice objectives while watching herself
critically as the main living platform for European Landscape and
watchtower of the International Landscape Architecture movements. Within this framework, our keynote speakers will present
and debate on our profession’s internationalization and the future:

La VII Bienal de Paisaje de Barcelona se reivindica tanto como
catalizador de dudas, como impulsora de ilusiones y de cambios
en el ámbito del Paisajismo, en unas circunstancias en las que las
disciplinas territoriales y culturales oscilan entre la zozobra y la
emergencia. En consecuencia, la Bienal revisará formatos, formulas, conceptos y objetivos de la disciplina, mientras se contempla
a si misma críticamente como plataforma viva del Paisajismo europeo y atalaya de los movimientos en el Paisajismo internacional.
En este marco, los siguientes ponentes presentarán y debatiran
sus puntos de vista sobre la internacionalización y el futuro de
la profesión:
Marieke Timmermans, paisajista y jefa del departamento de paisaje de la Akademie of Architecture, Amsterdam School of Arts.

i objectius de la disciplina, mentre es contempla a si mateixa críticament com a plataforma viva del Paisatgisme europeu i atalaia
dels moviments en el Paisatgisme internacional.
En aquest marc, els següents ponents presentaran i debatran els
seus punts de vista sobre la internacionalització i el futur de la
professió:

construidos con el objetivo de recuperar espacios degradados, pasando por los temáticos (Jardí Botánic).Finalmente, concluiremos la visita en el “Aeri del Port”, que
permitirá una visión global de Barcelona desde Montjuic a la Barceloneta.

Interested in attending the itineraries through the main gardens
from different periods located in Montjuïc mountain,
* price 15 € (includes ticket for the cable car from Barceloneta
and entrance to the Botanical Gardens), September 30th
We will start ascending the mountain from Plaça Espanya observing the singularities
of each of the gardens, from the historical ones built for the international exhibition
of 1929 to the most recent built in order to recover degraded areas, through the
thematic gardens on site (Botanical Garden). Finally, we will conclude the visit in
the "Aeri Port "cable, which will allow a global view of Barcelona from Montjuic to
Barceloneta.
