When I accepted the Archbishop Thomas Murphy Award
at the International Catholic Stewardship Conference on
October 2, I expressed gratitude to those who bestowed
this honor on our parish.
Cuando acepté el Premio Archbishop Thomas Murphy
en la Conferencia Internacional de la Corresponsabilidad
Católica el 2 de octubre, he expresado mi gratitud a los
que nos han otorgado este honor a nuestra parroquia.
I also spoke of how our parish lives the virtue of
stewardship as an expression of our gratitude to God for
the many gifts God has bestowed upon us.
También he hablado sobre cómo nuestra parroquia vive
la virtud de la corresponsabilidad como una expresión de
nuestra gratitud a Dios por los muchos dones que nos dió.
We are grateful for the many gifts God has given us: life,
love, faith, time, talent and - compared to many people
in our world - a prosperity that sustains our basic human
needs each day.

dió: vida, amor, fe, tiempo, talento y (comparado a mucha

In our liturgical, faith formation, social, fellowship and
hospitality ministries, we share these gifts with one
another, and with members of our human family in our
local, diocesan, national and international communities,
with great generosity.

con nuestra familia humana y comunidad local, diocesana,
nacional e internacional.
As we reflect on the virtue of stewardship, I thank you for
your continued, and perhaps increased, generosity to our
parish – it is truly a sign of our gratitude to God for God’s
goodness to us!

fellow teammates to build a structure out of cardboard
and spend the night in it. The event begins Saturday and
