1. The meal application is now available online. The application verification process is FASTER than ever! You will know if you qualify within 24 hour. Just log on to http://cafe‐la.lausd.net or http://café‐
la.lausd.net/new‐online_meal_application and follow the instructions on the screen. It is as simple as that! 2. Your second choice is to fill out a lunch application and submit it to either the school or mail it to the District Office. If you submit it through our school the verification process is about 7 days. If you mail it to the District Office it might take up to 2 weeks. 3. If you do not have access to internet and/or computer at home, Porter is making our computer lab available to you starting Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in RM 14. Just come to the Attendance Office and we will gladly help you submit your child’s meal application on‐line. 4. REMEMBER, YOU MUST HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS TO SUBMITT THE APPLICATION ON LINE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN EMAIL, WE WILL HELP YOU GET ONE!!!! 5. Important: If you have already submitted a lunch application, do not submit it again. This will delay and interrupt the verification process window. In order to qualify for free or reduced lunch, the meal application must be submitted every year with the exception of some students who automatically apply. 1. La aplicación de comida puede ser sometida vía cibernética. La verificación de este proceso dura solamente 24 horas. Subir a la pagina http://cafe‐la.lausd.net o http://café‐la.lausd.net/new‐online_meal_application y siga las instrucciones en la pagina electrónica. Es así de fácil! 2. Su segunda opción es llenar la aplicación y mandarla de regreso a la escuela o enviarla por correo. Si la manda a la escuela el proceso es de un promedio de 7 días. Si decide enviarla por correo a la ofician del distrito el proceso puede ser hasta de 2 semanas. 3. Si no tiene acceso a una computadora o línea cibernética, la escuela de Porter ofrecerá acceso a una en el laboratorio de computadoras, salón 14, para que pueda procesar y someter la aplicación vía cibernética empezando el día miércoles agosto 22 del 2012. Venga a la oficina de atendencia y le ayudaremos con mucho gusto. 4. Recuerde que tiene que tener un email para poder procesar la aplicación vía cibernética. Si no tiene un email, aquí se le ayudara a obtenerlo! 5. Importante: Si ya a sometido una aplicación, por favor de no someter otra aplicación. Al someter otra aplicación interrumpiría o atrasaría el proceso de su elegibilidad.
