UN INFORME DEL CAMPAMENTO JUVENIL REJUVALÍ
A REPORT FROM THE YOUTH CAMP REJUVALÍ
El fin de semana del 15 al 17 de agosto tuvimos nuestro 4to Retiro de Jóvenes
REJUVALÍ en las instalaciones del Instituto Misionero. Esta vez contamos con
unos 70 jóvenes que se acercaron a nuestro Instituto Misionero, unos en busca de
la dirección del Señor para servirle, otros para conocer el lugar con el deseo de
venir a estudiar en el futuro y otros simplemente para divertirse.
The weekend of August 15 to 17 we had our 4th REJUVALÍ Youth Retreat at the
Missionary Institute facilities. This time we had about 70 young people who came to
our Missionary Institute , some were seeking for the Lord’s direction to serve Him,
others to get to know the place with the desire to study there in the future, and others
came just to have fun.
Las clases que tuvimos en las mañanas fueron con un enfoque escatológico donde
claramente podíamos ver cómo la necesidad de llegar con la obra misionera a los
menos alcanzados del mundo tiene que ver con el fin de los tiempos y el regreso
de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Liliana dirigió el tiempo de alabanza y los jóvenes
comentaron que fue un buen tiempo de adoración al Señor.
We had classes in the mornings with an eschatological approach where we could clearly
see the need to reach the unreached of the world with the missionary work has to do
with the end times and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Liliana led the time of praise
and the people said it was a good time to worship the Lord.
Las competencias por las tardes fueron muy animadas, ya que por ejemplo, jugar
voleibol sin poder ver al equipo contrario no es algo que se haga frecuentemente.
También el largo tobogán jabonoso siempre fue un momento muy divertido (a
pesar de los baches).
The competition games in the afternoons were very lively as they played volleyball
without seeing the other team something that isn´t done frequently. Also the long
soapy slide is always a fun ride (despite the bumps ).
Uno de los momentos más especiales fue visitar la choza, donde esta vez
tuvimos como invitados a una pareja misionera que llegó a la conferencia
con un indígena de una de las etnias menos alcanzadas de Colombia, los
Nukak. Los jóvenes aprendieron algo de este idioma tonal y percibieron la
cultura al pintarse los rostros y escuchar música a través de una flauta de
hueso de venado.
One of the most special moments was to visit the hut, where this time we had
a missionary couple as guests who came to the conference with an indigenous
person from one of the most unreached ethnic groups in Colombia: the Nukak.
The youth learned some things about the tonal language and perceived the
culture by painting their faces and listening to music through a deer bone
flute.
Este fue otro esfuerzo de nuestro equipo de profesores para llevar la Palabra de Dios a la iglesia, enseñar la importancia de hacer misiones y promocionar al Instituto Misionero. Muchos expresaron
su deseo de venir a estudiar, por eso pedimos tu participación con nosotros en oración.
Comenzamos nuevas matrículas el 1 de febrero del 2016, pedimos al Señor que nos envíe a aquellos siervos y siervas fieles que quieran prepararse para servirle. Ya tenemos mucho trabajo con los 18
estudiantes que el Señor nos envió en febrero pasado y confiamos en el Señor acerca de la cantidad que esta vez quiera enviarnos. Del grupo total de estudiantes que tenemos, 6 de los 29, se estarán
graduando el próximo mes de diciembre y tomarán un tiempo para organizarse en diferentes áreas (matrimonio, encontrar apoyadores, entre otras cosas) después de esto estarán listos para entrar
a servir al Señor en esta parte de Su obra alcanzando las etnias indígenas.
This was another effort of our team of teachers to bring the Word of God to the church, to teach the importance of missions and promoting the Missionary Institute . Many expressed a desire to come and
study, so we ask for your participation with us in prayer for these young people.
We start the new enrollments on February 1, 2016. We are asking the Lord to send us those faithful servants who want to get prepared to serve Him . We have a lot of work with the 18 students that the
Lord sent us last February and trust the Lord about the amount of students He might want to send this time. Of the total group of students we have , 6 of the 29 will be graduating next December and will
take time to get organized in different areas (marriage, find support , among other things). After this they will be ready to go serve the Lord in this part of His work: reaching indigenous groups.
