HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE
Dear friends, we have spent this Lent in
prayer & sacrifice. As we gather here
today, we will bless these palm branches
& carry them high in honor of our Lord &
Savior Jesus Christ. Let us carry with us
throughout this holiest of weeks, this
sense of honoring our Lord as we
retrace his steps through Jerusalem to
Calvary. May these palms be reminders
to us not of our failures and sins, but of
Christ’s great victory over sin & death, & his rule over our
hearts forever.

GOOD FRIDAY COLLECTION
Good Friday Collection is requested by the Holy Father.
The annual Good Friday Collection offers a direct link for
parishioners to be witness of peace & to help protect the
Holy Places. When you donate on Good Friday, you are supporting Christians in the Holy Land by housing, feeding the
poor, providing religious formation & education, maintaining shrines, parishes & conducting pastoral ministry. Thank
you for your support.
CHURCH CLEANING UPDATE
THANK YOU to all the wonderful people in our parish who
helped clean our church. With so many people responding,
we were able to clean the church in record time & it looks
shiny, clean & beautiful. Your generosity & enthusiasm are
greatly appreciated.
LENTEN SOUP SUPPER
As Lent draws to an end, so does the
Lenten Soup Suppers. We wanted to thank
everyone who participated, donated and
shared time with us on Friday nights. Thank
you to the Altar Servers group for hosting
March 15. We also thank the Marriage & Family Life group
for hosting our last get together this past Friday, March
22. We hope everyone enjoyed this special time together.
The donations received thus far amounts to $210. We appreciate your contribution. God Bless!

ST JOSEPH PARISH FEAST
The St Joseph Feast was a HUGE success! BIG THANK
YOU to all who came to celebrate our patron saint and our
church family. It was nice seeing many new & returning

SPIRITUAL CARE VOLUNTEER CLASS
Kaiser Vacaville is starting a new Spiritual Care Volunteer
Class beginning in April. We are seeking individuals called to
tend to those with illness or at the end of their life. We
provide care, comfort & companionship. Eucharistic
Ministers are also needed. We are accepting people to
serve all shifts: Day, evening & weekends, from 2 - 4 hours

MARIPOSA CENTER
FREE Produce Twice Per Month! The Mariposa Center,
located at 1625 Alamo Dr, in Vacaville, is a community
Produce Program, which offers free fruits & veggies on the
2nd & 4th Wed of the month from 4pm - 5pm. Next
distribution day is 3/27. Bring 1 or 2 bags with handles.
1 person per family. Must be present to receive food.
MINISTRY BASIC TRAINING
Obtain your Catechist Certification. Classes are held
Thurs from 6 - 8 pm @ St. Mary’s Church Parish Hall. Donation is $15. You can pay in advance for the full course or as
you attend each session. Topics covered are:
* Faith * Liturgy * Life in Christ * Mission & Evangelization *

ALTAR SERVER OLYMPICS
Parishes are invited to field a team for
the 2nd Annual Diocese of Sacramento Altar Server Olympics held at
St. Jeong-Hae Elizabeth Korean Catholic Church in Sac. The event is Sat.,
April 20 from 1 - 6pm. Fee is $7 & includes a t-shirt & BBQ dinner. Event is
open to altar servers in grades 6-12.
The winning team will serve on the altar with Bishop
Soto & several other bishops at ON FIRE 2013 & take
home the coveted St. John Berchmann’s trophy. Register @ ww.altarserverolympics.com
REFLECCIÓN DOMINICAL
Hermanas y hermanos: Hemos pasado esta Cuaresma en
oración y haciendo sacrificios. Reunidos aquí hoy bendeciremos estas palmas y las pondremos en alto para honrar a
nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo. Tengamos durante toda
esta semana, la más santa de todas las semanas, este
sentido de honrar a nuestro Señor al rememorar sus pasos
desde Jerusalén hasta el Calvario. Que estas palmas no nos
recuerden nuestros fracasos y pecados, sino la gran victoria
de Cristo sobre el pecado y la muerte, y su reinado en
nuestros corazones para siempre.
COLLECTA DEL VIERNES SANTOS
La recaudación de Viernes Santo es pedida por el Padre
Santo y es una oportunidad a los parroquianos a presenciar
paz y de ayudar a proteger los locales sagrados. Cuando
usted hace su donación en Viernes Santo, usted estará
apoyando a la Cristianidad en la Tierra Santa. Estas donaciónes
ayudan a alimentar a los pobres, proveer información y
edcación, mantener a los altars y a las parroqias, y ministros.

GRATIS! Verduras y Frutas Gratis 2 veces
al Mes! El Mariposa Center, localizado en
el 1625 Alamo Dr, Vacaville, es un programa de servicio en la comunidad que
ofrece Frutas y Verduras gratis el segundo
y cuarto Miercoles al mes de las 4pm - 5pm.
La
próxima distribución será el 27 de Marzo. Traiga una o
dos bolsas con agarraderos. 1 persona por familia. Tiene
que estar presente para recibir comida.
