Hispanic Heritage Month
(September 15 – October 15)
Hispanic Heritage Month begins on the anniversary of independence
for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
What originated as a week-long celebration in 1968 has now morphed
into a month-long observance that is celebrated throughout the country.
Hispanic Heritage Month is a period to recognize the contributions of
Hispanic Americans to the United States and to celebrate Hispanic
Heritage and Culture. We are honored to celebrate these achievements
in our Tallahassee community with the following events:
September 19, 2009
Hispanic Heritage Month Dance
8:00 pm – midnight
American Legion Hall – Lake Ella
October 3, 2009
North Florida Hispanic Festival

endurece, derrítelo a fuego bajo).
