PREP University All-STAAR Week for Parents
is March 24 - 27
FREE WORKSHOPS FOR PARENTS TO HELP YOUR CHILDREN WITH THE STAAR TEST
The PREP University All-STAAR workshops will provide information about the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR. Parents will also be able to view
sample STAAR questions in reading, math, and writing and learn about the passing standards for the test.
Additionally, representatives from the district will be on site to answer general questions as well as specific questions on how the STAAR impacts high school graduation
requirements. We will have informational resources for you to take home.
The workshops will be in English, and Spanish interpretation will be available. There is no cost to attend the workshops. Childcare for children ages 3 and up and
refreshments and snacks will be provided.

La semana All-STAAR de PREP University

TALLERES GRATUITOS PARA QUE LOS PADRES AYUDEN A SUS HIJOS CON EL EXAMEN STAAR
Los talleres All-STAAR de PREP University proporcionarán información acerca del State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, o STAAR. Los padres podrán ver
ejemplos de las preguntas del STAAR en las áreas de lectura, matemáticas y redacción y obtener información acerca de lo que necesitan sus estudiantes para aprobar el
examen.
Además, representantes del distrito estarán presentes para contestar a preguntas generales y específicas acerca de cómo el STAAR afecta los requisitos para graduarse de
la preparatoria. Tendremos recursos informativos que podrá llevarse a casa.
Los talleres se darán en inglés, pero habrá interpretes para los que hablan español. No hay costo alguno para acudir a los talleres. Se proporcionará servicio de guardería
para los niños de 3 años de edad en adelante así como un refrigerio para los participantes.
