No lo Seʼ!
by Isabela Galindo (Brod Bagert)
No lo Seʼ, No lo Seʼ.
Itʼs what I always heard him say.
Iʼd ask,
“Eduardo, do you think Iʼm pretty?”
And he would answer:
“No lo Seʼ.”
Iʼd ask,
“Eduardo, do you like me?”
And he would answer:
“No lo Seʼ.”
Iʼd ask:
Eduardo, tomorrow after school, could you walk me to the mall?”
And he would answer:
“No... lo... Seʼ.”
So this morning I broke up with Eduardo.
And at lunch Sam smiled at me,
And after school Ernesto asked to carry my books.
And on the bus Alan sat beside me.
And then tonight Eduardo called:
“?Isabela,”he cried,
"Querida mia Isabella,
Por queʼ rompes mi Corazon?”
And that was when
it was my turn to say,
“!Lo siento, Eduardo,
PERO NO LO SEʼ!”
