Hi Anastasia
You won’t believe what happened! Last Tuesday, my father came home and said ‘I
have something to tell you.’ Then he added: ‘You should probably sit down...’
‘Aunt Marjorie died.’ he said. Aunt Marjorie was my grandmother’s cousin. She was talkative,
active, generous... and a little strange! After leaving school, she wanted to travel the world –
and she never stopped! ‘She left us a farm in Africa,’ my father continued. ‘All of us?!’ I asked.
‘You’re joking, right?’ my mother said. But we could see that he was serious. There was
a short silence, and then Mum said ‘OK!’ So, we’re leaving for Kenya on Friday. I’m packing
right now. What will I do without my favourite soap opera and quiz show? Or the baker’s and sweet shop?
