The trash in the alley behind the Valdez Perry branch of the library is an issue because it looks bad for the neighborhood. Also, it causes health problems for people. It is necessary to have dumpsters and fine people who continue to put trash in inappropriate places. La basura, en el callejón que se localiza detrás de la libreria Valdez Perry, es un problema porque causa una mala imagen al vecindario. Ademas de ser un foco de infección para las personas. This picture shows a big puddle of water that is outside the area of the park at 51st and Steele. It is an issue because it is in the parking area of the park and the people can’t walk in the area. The drivers drive fast and there are no sidewalks, no crossing, and no speed limit signs. This is dangerous for the children and people crossing the street. En frente del parque hay trailers y los niños y las personas cruzan la calle y los vehiculos pasan rápido. No hay bordas, crossing, o un letrero de límite de velocidad. In the park at 52nd and Steele, there are not enough swings, no slide and there are no goal posts for the children playing soccer. The lack of pavement in the Swansea neighborhood alleys from 49th Avenue upwards is a problem because it increases the dust and gets muddy when it rains or snows. The library is located on 48th Avenue and it is a big strength for the community because it has many books that the children can read. Also, you can share different activities with your children. The library also has computers for the youth that need to do homework on the computer or go online. Therefore, the library is something very important for our neighborhood. También, la biblioteca cuenta con muchas computadoras para los jovenes que necesitan hacer algún trabajo de la escuela en la computadora o buscar algo en el internet. Asi que la biblioteca es algo muy importante para nuestro vecindario. Our Lady of Grace Church at 2645 E. 48th Avenue is a strength because it’s very important for the community. It’s good to have a church that is close to our homes and in our neighborhood. La Iglesia Nuestra Señora de la Gracia que está localizada en la 2645 E 48th Ave es una fortaleza porque es muy importante para la gente asistir a una iglesia que está cerca de nuestras casas y en nuestro vecindario. The daycare at Swansea Elementary School is a very beneficial summer program for parents. Our children have fun and learn different activities in a safe place. We appreciate the support of this daycare because it enables us to learn English. La guarderia en la escuela Swansea Elementary es algo muy positivo que beneficia los programas de verano para padres de familia. Los niños se divierten y aprenden diferentes actividades en un lugar seguro. Agradecemos el apoyo de la guarderia porque nos permite mejorar la calidad de vida aprendiendo el idioma inglés. Yards should be cleaned up without trash and weeds as we see in this photo. People who don’t clean their yards should be fined. Las yardas deben estar limpias sin basura y sin hierbas como vemos en esta foto. Las personas que no limpian sus yardas les deberían dar una multa.
