LOOK FOR THIS LETTER TO BE SENT HOME Dear Parents, Friday Jan 20th will be the day for Kindergarten and First Grade conferences. If your child’s teacher requests a conference, I am imploring that you attend this meeting. It is our goal to see that every child succeeds in school. Without parent support, our job becomes impossible. I have the highest expectations for every child, teacher and parent in this school. Because I care, I have asked the teachers to provide you with an honest assessment of your child’s performance. If your child is performing below grade level, now is the time to assist us in helping you help your child. Please respond to the letter as soon as possible. Your child is demonstrating exemplary work beyond that which is expected at this grade level. Please continue to work with your child and provide them with frequent enrichment opportunities. Please continue to work with your child and enrich them at every opportunity. Slightly below Grade Level – A conference is requested, as we need to work together to develop a plan that will help your child obtain an adequate level of proficiency. There are gaps in what your child knows and what your child needs to know.
