Carles Rodrigo (1985, Valencia, España),
planteado como un diario, su trabajo está
formado por relatos incompletos creados a
partir de sensaciones vividas, narraciones
de una historia formada por espontáneas
imágenes que transmiten intimidad y melancolía. Con un delicado tratamiento de la
luz consigue crear un amalgama de atmósferas un tanto oníricas y misteriosas.
Carles Rodrigo (1985, Valencia, Spain),
his work, conceived as a diary, is made up
of unfinished stories created from directly
experienced sensations, narratives of a
history made up of spontaneous images,
transmitting intimacy and melancholy. With
a delicate treatment of light he is able to
create a layering of mysterious and dreamlike atmospheres.
Su trabajo, enfocado hacia el lado más lofi de la fotografía, le aporta imperfección,
naturalidad y romanticismo, acentuando
estas cualidades mediante la continua experimentación con todo tipo de materiales,
técnicas y soportes. En no pocas ocasiones
se sirve en el error como elemento artístico,
lo cual despierta cierta dosis de inquietud
en el espectador.
His work, focused towards the lo-fi side of
photography, gives it a sense of imperfection, naturalism and romanticism, bringing
to the fore these qualities through the continuous experimentation with all kinds of
materials, techniques and media. In more
than one occasion he takes advantage of
error as an artistic starting point, which
may awake a sense of unease in the observer.
Se identifica en su trabajo una evolución
rápida pero meditada, consecuencia de
la permanente búsqueda de nuevas formas de expresión, líneas y temas, que le
aporten rasgos diferentes. Consigue así
mantener alejada la monotonía y, en cierto
modo, hacer partícipe al espectador de la

Titulado en Diseño Industrial y Máster en
Mobiliario e Iluminación. De una forma
autodidacta gracias a su curiosidad, internet, los libros y las revistas, Carles ha ido
definiendo su estilo, que no solo ha desarrollado en fotografía sino también en otras
áreas como el Diseño.
Ha trabajado con algunas empresas como
Women’secret (España), Bread’n’Butter
(China) y TourSpain (España).
Sus influencias e intereses van desde la
moda y el arte, al interiorismo y la música.
Lo que le ha permitido colaborar con numerosas publicaciones como Neon (Alemania), Ling (España), Dongxy (China), Marie
Claire (España), así como aparecer en algunos de los más interesantes blogs y revistas
online (Urban outfitters, Booooooom!, Huh
Magazine, Swtach MTV Playground...) y
desarrollar la imagen y diseño de los discos de algunos de los grupos más prometedores de Valencia (Twelve Dolls, Polock,
Amatria).

Graduated in Industrial Design and with
a post-graduate Qualification in Furniture
and Lighting Design. To some extent selftaught thanks to his natural curiosity, the
internet, books and specialist magazines,
Carles has slowly been defining his own
particular style, which he has not only developed in his photography but also in other fields such as design.
He has worked with various companies such
as Women’s Secret (Spain), Bread’n’Butter
(China) and Tour Spain (Spain).
Ha participado en algunas exposiciones
colectivas en Madrid (Momentos Intimos,
Galería MadisMad), Los Angeles (Please
Excuse the Mess, Faces) y Valencia (The
Heart of Matter, Espai Tactel y Luis Adelantado).
His influences and interests range from
fashion and art, to interior design and
music. Which has allowed him to collaborate with a number of publications such
as Neon (Germany), Ling (Spain), Dongxy
(China), Mari Claire (Spain), as well as
taking part in some of the most interesting
blogs and online magazines (Urban Outfitters, Booooooom!, Huh Magazine, Swatch
MTV Playground... ) and develop the image and design of the recordings of some
of the most promising Valencian groups
(Twelve Dolls, Polock, Amatria).
