MEMORANDUM DE ENTENDIMIENTO
SOBRE COOPERACION EN MATERIA DE TURISMO
ENTRE
EL GOBIERNO DE LA REPUBLlCA ARGENTINA
y
EL GOBIERNO DEL REINO UNIDO DE GRAN BRETAÑA
E IRLANDA DEL NORTE
El Gobierno de la República Argentina y el Gobierno del Reino Unido de Gran
Bretaña e Irlanda del Norte (en adelante denominados los Participantes);
Con el deseo de fortalecer aún más la cooperación y consolidar las relaciones
existentes entre ellos y los pueblos de sus respectivos Estados;
Teniendo en cuenta la importancia que se otorga al intercambio de información
a nivel general y especialmente en materia de turismo, han llegado al siguiente
Entendimiento:
1- Los Participantes facilitarán visitas turísticas entre los dos Estados.
2- Los Participantes intercambiarán material y publicaciones sobre información
turística de sus respectivos Entes Nacionales de Turismo.
3- Los Participantes permitirán la importación de dichos documentos y material
requeridos para la promoción turística a que se refiere el párrafo anterior.
4- Los Participantes alentarán y crearán las condiciones favorables para que
las empresas y sociedades constituidas a tal efecto de la otra Parte participen
en la construcción, administración y mantenimiento de proyectos turísticos y en
otros aspectos de la industria turística.
El presente Memorandum entrará en vigor en el momento de su firma y
permanecerá vigente hasta que cualquiera de las Partes notifique a la otra,
con seis meses de anticipación, su decisión de darlo por terminado.
Hecho en Londres el 25 de marzo de 1999, en dos originales en los idiomas
español e inglés, siendo ambos igualmente auténticos.

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
ON COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF TOURISM
BETWEEN
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE ARGENTINE REPUBLlC
AND
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN
AND NORTHERN IRELAND
The Government of the Argentine Republic and the Government of the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, (hereinafter referred to
as "the Participants")
Desirous to further strengthen cooperation and to consolidate existing
relations between them and the people of their respective States.
In view of the importance they attach to the exchange of information at
general level, particularly in the field of tourism, have reached the following
understandings:
1-
The Participants will facilitate tourist visits between the two States.
2-
The Participants will exchange material and publications on tourist
information from their respective National Tourist Boards.
3-
The Participants will allow the importation of such documents and
material required for tourist promotion, referred to in the previous paragraph.
4-
The Participants will encourage and create favourable conditions for
companies and groups set up for the purpose from the other side to participate
in the construction, management and maintenance of tourist projects and other
aspects of the tourism industry:
This Memorandum will come into operation on signature and will
continue in operation until terminated by either signatory giving six months
notice to the other.
Signed in duplicate at London on March 25, 1999, in the Spanish and English
languages, both texts having equal validity.
