ACCEPTABLE SCHOOL ATTIRE
2016 - 2017
Students are expected to adhere to the Dress Code Policy of the Cobb County Board of Education (JCDB). Acceptable school
attire enhances the overall climate and expectation of the school for students.
Dress Attire checks will take place during first period and throughout the day. If a student violates the acceptable dress
attire, he/she will be given a warning and parents will be contacted. Repeated dress code violations constitute insubordination
and will result in further administrative disciplinary consequences.




MALE STUDENTS
Navy blue, black, or Khaki Pants/shorts (knee
length) with a belt fitted at the waist
Navy blue, light blue, grey, white or
maroon/burgundy shirts with a collar (polo
style or oxford style – no sleeveless shirts)
Shirts are to be tucked in
Basic school shoes, tennis, loafers, or boots –
no open toe shoes or athletic flip flops
Solid colored jackets/hoodies or sweaters
for winter







BOYS PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Black or Navy blue jogging pants or kneelength shorts
Plain white tops (t-shirts, NO tank tops)


FEMALE STUDENTS
Navy blue, black, or Khaki pants, skirts or
shorts (knee length)
Navy blue, light blue, grey, white or
maroon/burgundy blouse or shirts with a
collar (polo style, oxford style, ¾ sleeve, no
low-cut)
Basic school shoes, tennis, loafers, or boots –
no open toe shoes, flips flops or high heels)
Solid colored jackets/hoodies or sweaters
for winter
Navy blue, flesh colored, tan, brown, black or
white tights or leg stockings (for winter)
GIRLS PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Black or Navy blue jogging pants or knee
length shorts
Plain white tops (t-shirts, NO tank tops)
Spirit Fridays
Only on Fridays will students be permitted to wear blue denim jeans with a LSGA School Spirit Shirt.
PROHIBITED GARMENTS ON DRESS DOWN DAYS (Inclusive, but not limited to the following):

Garments that portray/advocate profanity, physical aggression, violence, or any illegal/immoral activities

No holes in jeans

Hats, caps, bandannas, headbands, head coverings of any kind not pertaining to religious affiliations

Sunglasses inside the building

Pajamas

No bed sandals/slippers/open-toe shoes/flip flops

No leggings, Spandex pants, no shorts shorter than 3 inches above the knee

Open weave mesh clothing – no holes in tops and/or pants

Tank tops

Hair ornaments—combs, chopsticks, hair picks

No clothing with offensive or inappropriate writing across the chest area or rear pelvic area

Any other item, which is distracting and interferes with the normal operations of the school day
Appropriate Dress Attire will be enforced by school administrators and teachers. The principal or his/her designee is the final
judge as to the appropriateness, neatness and cleanliness of the wearing apparel, or whether or not apparel is disruptive,
distracting, or in violation of the acceptable school attire.
RULE: IF YOU HAVE TO THINK ABOUT THE APPROPRIATENESS OF THE APPAREL,
DON’T WEAR IT.

CODIGO DE VESTIMENTA
2016 - 2017
Se espera que los estudiantes cumplan con las expectativas de las Políticas del Código de Vestimenta de la Junta Directiva de Educación del
Condado de Cobb (JCDB, por sus siglas en ingles). Una vestimenta adecuada mejora el ambiente y expectativas de la escuela.
Los chequeos del código de Vestimenta se llevaran a cabo durante la sesión de aula y durante el día. Si un estudiante no cumple con el código de
Vestimenta, a él o a ella no se le permitirá participar en las clases hasta asegurarse de estar apropiadamente vestido. Las repetidas violaciones al
código de Vestimenta constituyen una subordinación y resultara en consecuencias administrativas disciplinarias.

EDUCACION FISICA VARONES



trotar o shorts hasta la rodilla)
Parte de arriba blanca y lisa (camisetas, NO
camisetas sin mangas)
Pantalones azul rey, negros o caqui, faldas o
shorts (a la altura de la rodilla)
Blusa o camiseta con cuello azul rey, azul claro,
gris, blanca o roja (estilo polo, estilo Oxford,
manga ¾, etc.)
Zapatos lisos blancos, negros o marrones
(tenis, mocasines o botas)
Calcetines lisos blancos, negros, marrones o

Medias o calcetas azul rey, color piel, beige,
marrón o blanco (para invierno)

EDUCACION FISICA MUJERES



Viernes “Spirit”
Solo los viernes pueden usar pantalón de mezclilla azul con la camisa de “spirit” escolar LSGA.
PRENDAS PROHIBIDAS EN DIAS “DRESS DOWN”, o de no uniforme (Incluido, pero no se limita a):

Prendas que representen/defiendan obscenidades, agresión física, violencia o cualquier tipo de actividades ilegales o inmorales

Pantalones de mezclilla no deben tener huecos

Bandanas para la cabeza

Sombreros, gorros, Cintas en la cabeza, cubiertas de la cabeza de cualquier tipo, no relacionadas con afiliaciones religiosas

Lentes de sol dentro del edificio

Pijamas

Sandalias de cama/pantuflas

Mallas tipo leggings - pantalones Spandex, pantalones cortos no más cortos de 3 pulgadas arriba de la rodilla

Ropa de malla tejida abierta –los pantalones de mezclilla no deben tener huecos

Camisetas sin mangas

Adornos en la cabeza — peines, palillos chinos

No se permite ropa con escritos ofensivos o inapropiados en el área del pecho o cerca del área pélvica

Cualquier otra cosa que sea molesta o interfiera con las operaciones normales de un día escolar.
Los administradores escolares y los maestros deben hacer cumplir la política de código de Vestimenta y la directora o su designado son los jueces
finales en cuanto a la adecuación, pulcritud y limpieza de la ropa llevada, si es o no esta vestimenta perturbadora, que distrae o si es una violación
al código de Vestimenta.
REGLA: SI TIENE QUE PENSAR SI LA ROPA ES APROPIADA O NO, NO SE LA PONGA.
