What is Play School?
Play School is an early learning program for young children (ages 0-6
years) and their parents/guardians to enjoy together. It is held at the

Clinton Early Childhood Resource Center (CECRC). Families may
drop-in anytime we’re open for an hour or more of enriching activities

in our “Preschool Room” and “Children’s Gym.” (No street shoes or

Play School is a service of Clinton Community Partnerships for Children, funded through
a Coordinated Family & Community Engagement (CFCE) grant from the Mass.
Department of Early Education and Care.
Play School Rules & Guidelines

Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising
and interacting with their children at all times!
Please limit cell phone/texting to emergencies
only!
3.
Sign-In and have children wear nametags everyday :-)
4.
Clean-Up: Please help your child put toys and other materials back when
they’re finished playing with them.
5.
Snacks: Food and beverages are permitted in the hallway only. However, no
peanuts, peanut products, or gum are ever allowed.
6.
Bathrooms/Diapering: Bathrooms, one with a table for diaper changes, are
located outside the Children’s Gym. Take soiled diapers with you.
7.
Clothing: Children should wear comfortable clothing that can get messy (good
tip for parents/guardians, too!).
8.
Parking: Our parking lot is often full so be prepared to park on the street.
9.
Lending Policy: Many materials may be borrowed for two week intervals.
10.
Appropriate Conduct: Children are never allowed to hit or bite others
or abuse materials. If this happens, intervene immediately and tell your child
that this behavior is not allowed. Be prepared to take your child home if s/he
continues to behave inappropriately.
11.
Health: Please do not bring children to Play School when they have
coughs and/or runny noses, fever, vomiting, etc.

Children’s Gym: Everyone needs to wear socks or house slippers —
no bare feet or street shoes* are allowed. *Orthotic shoes are permitted
but soles should be wiped clean.
13.
Participation Eligibility: Play School is for Clinton residents with children
ages birth through six years. Exceptions: families who receive services through
our Parent Child Home Program, Head Start, and/or own property in Clinton.
14.
Participation Schedule: Families may “drop-in” at their convenience during
our normal hours and stay an hour or more (except when lots of people are
present, then 1 hour is the limit).
15.
Donations: Play School is funded through a limited state grant so we depend
on monetary donations as well as donations of consumable items (e.g. Kleenex,
waterless hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, etc). Donations are tax deductible—
make checks payable to: Town of Clinton-CPC.
16.
Child Care Provider Policy: When attending more than one day per week,
there is a $5 fee per child care child on the second visit.
17.
Gym Cleaning Parties: Volunteers are needed to help clean/sanitize the
Children’s Gym on Tuesdays (10:00 – 11:00 a.m.). Children play while parents
help with cleaning/sanitizing.
Reglas y Pautas
Padres/guardianes son responsables de supervisar e
interactuar recíprocamente con sus niños todo el tiempo.
Escriba tu nombre y use tu etiqueta conocida diaria .
Limpieza: Ponga por favor los juguetes y otros materiales.
Comida: Los alimentos y las bebidas se permiten en el
vestíbulo solamente. No se permite ningunos de los
deribados del maní.
Baños/Cambio de Pañales: Dos cuartos de baño están
disponibles. Hay un catre en uno de los cuartos para los
cambios de pañal. Esté preparado por favor para llevarse los
pañales sucios con usted.
Ropa: Los niños deben usar una ropa cómoda que se pueda
ensuciar.
Gimnasio de los Niños: Cada uno necesita usar medias (no
se permitirá nadie delcalzo).
Salud y seguridad: Nunca se permite a los niños golpear o
morder otros niños o destruir los materiales del salon. Si
esto sucede, intervenga inmediatamente y digale a su niño
que éste no es un comportamiento apropiado. Esté preparado
para regresar a su hogar si el niño continúa comportándose
inadecuadamente. Por favor, no traiga a sus niños a jugar la
escuela cuando esten tosiendo y narices que moquean.
Política De Préstamos: Muchos materiales en el cuarto
preescolar (y algunos en el gimnasio) pueden ser pedidos
prestados. Solo dos artículos por persona se pueden pedir
prestados por dos semanas.
Elegibilidad: La participación en el programa Play School se
restringe a los residentes de Clinton. Las excepciones: las
familias que reciben servicios con el Parent Child Home
Program. El programa se extiende desde niños recien
nacidos hasta los niños de seis años de edad. El formulario
de registracion debe ser llenado cada año.
Horario De Participación: Las familias que participan en el
programa de la escuela del juego de Play School pueden
asistir a su conveniencia durante horas normales de
operación y permanecer mientras los adultos y los niños
esten feliz disfrutando de las actividades. Sin embargo, si la
cantidad de niños/adultos presentes en un momento
particular es excesiva , por favor limite su visita a una hora.
Donaciones: Play School se financia con una concesión muy
limitada del estado así que las donaciones monetarias son
siempre bien recibida, al igual que donaciones de artículos
de consumo (e.g. Kleenex, liquido desinfectante para las
manos sin agua, toallitas desinfectantes, etc). Las donaciones
monetarias son deducibles de los impuestos. (Por favor haga
los cheques pagaderos a: Town of Clinton-CPC.)
Oportunidades Voluntarias: Los voluntarios son necesarios
para ayudar a mantener los materiales y los equipos, limpios
en los cuartos del gimnasio y del preescolar.
