It is a pleasure to write to you on behalf of the Athletic Family from Venezuela, especially
from the VENEZUELA ATHLETIC FEDERATION and the II Local Organizing
Committee of the PANAMERICAN CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS. We are
pleased to inform you that we ratify our commitment with the Association of Panamerican
Athletics and to its president, Víctor López, and with our Congress in Toronto where we
were chosen as the event site.
We apologize for the delay in sending to you the information but it was now that we
received confirmation of the Lodging, Meals, Meeting Rooms, Auditorium, Service áreas
and other amenities of the PUERTO AZUL CLUB in the Vargas State which will host all
the delegations who are going to participate in the championships.
We were waiting for this confirmation to be able to send to you the Team Manual but it is
urgent to make the arrangements for the number of participants of each country in order to
guarantee the lodging in this facility. If you confirm the numerical delegation we will be
able to send to you the Team Manual this week, the letters for the VISAS for the countries
which require visas to enter Venezuela and the rest of the information. Meanwhile we
would like to share with you the following information:

Please forward this information by Tuesday February 3rd to reserve your accommodations
at the Athletic village in Puerto Azul so that we are able to make the lodging contract at the
Club which is going to be the athletic village.

According to the IAAF rules you will be able to include six (6) athletes in your delegation
(4 competitors and 2 who will not get points) in the categories U18, U20 and Seniors.
Once we send to you the TEAM MANUAL during this week, you will be able to send the
preliminary lists of participants following the due dates prescribed.
Please try to be
accurate in the information you submit to us.
We foresee that this Championships will be very successful since it is located in a private
club by the beach and the competition will be at the Caraballeda Golf Course which offer
the best conditions and a quality trail.
On March 3, AM, there will be a Master competition where coaches and delegates will be
able to participate once they abide by the accreditation and quota criteria. On March 3, we
will have a Cross Country Seminar at 3:00 PM and our Technical Meeting at 6:15 PM.
Some preliminary information is attached and we will appreciate your cooperation in
sending your delegation information to help us have one of the best championships.
